Xbox EU Maintanence today.... again?

Wonder what this back end issue is?

Couldnt load into certain zones after maintenance. Nor would imp city load. Endless loading screens.

And people wonder why we complain about maintenance so much. Not counting the maintenance we already had during the Gold Road event, now we had a day taken from us for this event and now Xbox will have ANOTHER day taken away. This is getting ridiculous.

Please extend the event for us. I realise maintenance is a thing that must be done, but we have missed more than 24 hours of it.
Speaking of which, why dont events start at reset? For me in the UK reset is 0400, events usually start at 1500, this is half a day.
Events finish at 1500 which also means half a day of said activity.
I cant for the life of me figure out why the first and last day are only half days.
