Cannot respec skill trees that have a scribed skill

When trying to respec/remorph skills at the altar, as soon as I hover a scribed skill there is a UI error (the infamous popup). The only solution is to reload the UI. This means that all the non-ultimate skills in that tree can no longer be remorphed (when entering the tree were on the ultimate). Bummer for a double XP event.
I’m on console, which means I cannot “not hover” the scribed skill.
Scribed skills shouldn’t be displayed there in the first place.
