Is the Buoyant Armiger motif the rarest in the game?

I feel like it's one of, if not the, rarest motif in the game- I've 100% Vvardenfell and never found one, and I've not once seen a page sold by a guild trader.

It could be. I found a page or two. I bought all the rest in traders when it released.

theyre not super rare ---- i usually buy every vvardenfell map i see --- there are also random chests near every treasure map except for map 4 .

you can google chest runs and just run around til you get them ---- there is a cool down once you get one from a map chest - but not on the random chests - ive gotten them back to back from a map chest and a random that were really close to each other --- map 2 - there is a random chest that spawns five feet from it.

I used to run the Vvardenfell treasure map route every day for months, opened several thousand chests, found only one Buoyant Armiger motif - so I'd say yes, it's pretty rare when it comes to finding one in a treasure chest

I would suspect ancient daedric is even rarer but I have no real data to support that.

    Buoyant Armiger is quite rare
if you roam Vvardenfell Treasure Chests daily and do treasure maps you get like 1 .. 2 pages a month.
the issue is that grinding is not sustainable. with low drop rates you may experience weeks of farming with zero drops.

considering prices there are Crimson Oath drops only in The Dread Cellar dungeon, and Y'ffre's Will Style drops in Earthen Root Enclave group dungeon to be hard to get

and my personal pain in the rear is Ancient Daedric (i still have not completed it) as the only source of this is a chance (i estimate this chance as 1:6 .. 1:8) of the lead drop from the Deadlands Treasure Map chests, and as there are only 2 Deadlands maps in a random pool of approx 120 different treasure maps nowadays - the maps themselves are expensive, and, multiplied by a low chance of lead drop after you got them maps - it takes a lot of gold or time to get the pages of this certain style.

for treasure map leads i been waiting for them to show up in the archive, since the rotation vendor sells specific zone maps each week, the main difficulty with this is both the boxes to get the maps from and the maps themselves are unique, so you have to find a way to store them and its a lot of repeated visits if there are few maps or you cant use mail to store them (though i would agree there are other problems even aside from obtaining the maps themselves)

most dungeon motifs are usually only expensive when they first come out but tank in price over time (due to a combination of dropping from events and less people needing them over time)

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

Just go pickpocketing, you'll find some.

Not even close to rare compared to many others. Try farming for Ancestral Breton or Ancestral Akivari sometime.

I guess it depends on the server. On PCNA there are pages and pages of them being sold by guild traders.

Did they change how this one drops? I farmed it back in 2017 so have forgotten if it was a pita to farm. I prob bought most of the pages because they were prob not rare back then

the boutant armiger pages can come from any chest in vvardenfell and you can sometimes get them from psijic portals.

unlike the ancestral ones you dont have to have a treasure map for these but it does help.

as i said earlier in the thread i buy up all the vvardenfell maps i see for under 1k gold and then when i have multiples of each i will go open them --- usually get a bouyant page within ten to fifteen maps

Dungeon motifs have a much more consistent drop rate - if you do the dungeon on vet, they're somewhat common, and even more so on hard mode. Now, not many people may do new dungeons on hard mode (esp. with the annoying three hard modes instead of one), but there is much less randomness involved. This plus the Anniversary Event (and others) where dungeon motifs are dropped by the coffers, means that dungeon motifs tend to drop more frequently after some time.

No the ancient Daedric, Breton, etc from treasure chests are more rare.

Bouyant takes work, hours and hours of running chests in Vvardenfell.
I have it on 3 characters and I made millions selling them when they first came out and prices were high, literally millions of gold

Hlaalu, Redoran and Telvanni motifs drop from pickpocketing in vvardenfell.
