Prologue quests

It would be great if ZOS could remove the prologue
quest givers in Auridon/Stonefalls/Daggerfall.
If people want to do them, grab it from the crown store and the NPC appears.

Making alts is fun and all but these quest icons are (to me) a pain as I can not "ignore them" or "just accept the quest and never do it".
I know they changed it a while ago where you need to be a certain level for them to appear, but completing a starter island/s makes that change only beneficial to new players kind of.

As I said, it would be lovely if they weren't visible in the first place,
Hopefully I'm not the only one who has this opinion.

Yeah, there's a lot of legacy MMO stuff that should change. For example, I don't want to have to complete the base game main story on every character, and I don't want to have the quest permanently in my quest log unless I do. I understand why they do the quest barker thing, it's intended to be immersive and mimic the behavior of previous TES games, but the behavior needs to change because this is an MMO and people play just the game differently from single-player games.

How about this: the first time a character interacts with a quest NPC, they receive that notification for good, and it's accessible somewhere like the crown store, or a special section in Notifications that gives them permanent access to the quest until they start it. I don't care where it goes, but it needs to go somewhere, because Leramil or Jakarn or whoever else appearing over your shoulder to pester you all the time is the opposite of an immersive experience.

At the very least I would like quest markers for DLC content present in base game zones, to have a different coloured marker, I prefer to leave them for later and do stuff in order where possible.

Yeah, like the daily writs, just a different colour.

Jakarn and his "hey good looking" line is so obnoxious.

With account wide achievements, you would imagine prologue quests to be a one and done, as you say it's an mmo.

It's quest content. Should all other quests also be done if one character has completed them? Then alts would be even more useless.

I think the simplest solution would be (as mentioned above) to simply remove all prologue quest givers from the game. Spawn them only when/if you select the quest from the Crown Store.

The prologue quest givers are annoying. Let's extend this to: The battlegrounds quest that never goes away if one doesn't want to do battlegrounds. Or the ToT quest giver that is STILL in every city on my main character.

@Arizona_Steve regarding quests like BG or ToT, I think an elegant approach would be to boost the size of our quest log from 25 to 50 or 75 and have it in two sections. One section like we have now where quests go by default, and the second section would be an area you can move quests to that you accepted just to get rid of the quest marker or shut the quest giver up.

Where did I say "all quest's"?

I am strictly talking about Prologue quests.

They are the beginning of a chapter and story content just like any other story quest. If they were made account-wide every alt would miss the first story of a chapter.

See that's the easiest and probably cheapest fix, considering the forum is currently filled with bigger problems.

If they could at least give the quest markers a unique colour, yellow maybe? Or even award a skill point perhaps.

After multiple alts over the years, I have no interest in doing them again, currently we have what, 13, and the BG intro one too.
