West Wield Wayshrine

Somehow I can't summon my mount under a Wayshrine in West Wield. However, sometimes, when I travel to a Wayshrine my character appears outside the structure, when this happens I can immediately call my mount. I don't know why we can't use the mount at the Wayshrines in West Wield, nor why we sometimes arrive outside and others inside. But I would like to know if there is a way to always arrive out of the Wayshrines when traveling in West Wield. It would be very practical.

It's like that in a few zones, probably so players don't block access to the wayshrine.

Nah, ZOS likes to troll with some wayshrines being mountable and others you have to run a few paces away from to mount. Been that way since Shadowfen.

If that were indeed the reason, then it would make more sense for us to always arrive outside of the Wayshrine. But that's not what happens. We often appear inside. It's very strange, and quite inconsistent with the rest of the game. The only similar cases I remember are in Argonian Wayshrines, and I never understood why either.

Some of them with roofs you can't. Not sure why.

Same as I am not sure why your camera can lose sight of your character behind a wall, or trees, or banners.

How many movies have you seen where the star, who is being filmed from 3rd person view, suddenly is not longer on the screen because something has come between the camera and the person?

    makes no sense.

I've played other games and they just fade out anything that would block the screen and fade it back in when it no longer would affect the scene. So I know it Can be done.

Maybe the roof of certain wayshrines are too low for a player on a mount to fit under.

It's not a problem to just step away from the wayshrine before mounting anyway.

It's mostly the Argonian wayshrines that prevent riding away. So do the ones in Hew's Bane, equally annoying. :(

But in some cases we arrive outside of the wayshrines, and that's better. It would be nice if that was the case in all wayshrines. You say that the devs might be preventing the access of mounts inside the wayshrines to avoid block access, but I don't see why couldn't allow us to arrive always outside the wayshrines.

Yep, they could easily move the player spawn point a few more feet outside the wayshrine enclosure to allow efficient mounting... but they choose not to. I'm not sure what the benefit to them is to have players pressing the H button with no effect, but that's apparently what they want us doing.

I just passed through Clockwork City and noticed something very interesting that I hadn't thought of yet. The Wayshrines there are large, covered, and much more complex than in West Wield. However, the mounts work perfectly, you can ride and even call them inside the Wayshrines. Which leads me to believe that, after all, what is happening in West Wield could actually be a defect, perhaps a programming error. Which leaves me with some hope that it will be fixed. Maybe I should have opened this discussion in the "Bug Reports" section.
