Proposal: In-Game Tutorials as Choosable Origin Stories

I do not know if this has been proposed anywhere else, and I apologize if bringing up something which has been discussed before on the forums breaks any rules, but since I see there is a change with Update 44…

The In-Game Tutorials from the past which I have played have all been so excellent and different. To me, it seems it would make sense to make the Tutorial like a sort of origin story which the players can choose when they create their characters. This would make it so that the past work the ESO team has put in is still available and it would also give players more agency.

As for how to design it, they can have the preferred one for the current DLC or stage of the game as “recommended” and automatically selected, and list the others available to the player based on what expansions/DLCs they have access to with a brief description and noting its relevant Expansion/DLC. Probably putting something on it saying that after the tutorial, the players are not locked in to the zone they choose for the tutorial so new players know it will not limit them.

…It might also encourage players to purchase DLCs they do not have or to become an ESO Plus member.

It makes sense in that it promotes the Expansions which either can be purchased or are included with ESO Plus, it empowers players to play how they want and define their own characters more. There are popular Elder Scrolls mods on other Elder Scrolls games which let players pick different origin stories. Using already existing ESO quests to this effect is smart business in promoting the Expansions, reuses already existing material which would hopefully minimize cost, and is something I believe players would appreciate—new and old. It could see some old players return for nostalgia or to play other introductions they have not played before.
