Sweetwater Cascades outside noise?

Ok first, please dont mind the way the house looks, its very much a work in progress right now :)

But does anyone know what this noise is? Its coming from the front corner of the house, but when I go inside the house its gone.

I was wondering if I put something there that would make such a noise and forgot about it, so I went to Housing Tours to check other player homes and they all had same noise in same place. So its not just my house.

Ive been working on mine for a few weeks now, and Ive never noticed that before, so I was curious to know what it is. Thanks!

Thanks for your reply, it could be addon related, but its a strange effect to be caused by such.

I have only 6 addons, so I pulled the entire folder and re-started the game. The noise went away, I put the folder back in, figuring I would disable them one by one until I found the issue, but the noise didnt come back.

That is, until about 4 or 5 hours later, then it was a completely different noise in the bank in Skingrad (sound was of rushing water, same as you would get if standing very close to a waterfall, which my character was actually doing about 10 minutes prior to entering bank).

Anyway, I started disabling the addons one by one until they were all disabled but the noise was still there. I walk out of the bank, the noise is gone. Walk back in and its back.

So I dont even know at this point? Im going to remove the entire addon folder again today and see if any strange noises pop up. Thanks again :)

This is so unusual! I keep trying to remember if I’ve heard that specific drumming anywhere else in the game and nothing comes to mind. I’ll be curious if you figure out what’s going on!

The type of drum sounds like Warcaller's Painter Drum (https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Warcaller's_Painted_Drum) but that one just plays single beats and a player has to interact with it, this sounds more buggy or like multiple people drumming at the same time, can't remember if I've heard that in the game playing quite like in your clip.

Sounds like an audio bug anyway!

Update - I think I heard one of the npc guild traders in Fargrave playing this exact sound while not engaged with by a player.

i recently did the goblin quest in West Weald and there's drumming in it that sounds exactly like the drumming in your video.

so i am guessing there is a bug that causes that quest's audio to persist,

I heard it during the goblin quest, too. You can listen to the sound here (arrow position):
