Hear me out.
We have the ability to apply the 5pc set bonus of a set when *Battle Spirit* is active as seen in sets like Rallying Cry.
We have the ability to apply certain conditions of the damage/proc if its on a player or monster.
Instead of just totally murdering sets and tossing them in the graveyard of dead sets, why cant we just make it conditional based on if Battle Spirit is active? and further make any adjustments to only affect/target players so people dont abuse it and proc it off an IC pve add or the player's pet?
Sure tooltips are going to be longer, but I feel it's the only correct choice to properly balance and address the needs of 2 very different communities, and maintain/grow set diversity in the game. and perhaps finally revamp some of the older sets.
Like base damage and/or bonuses can remain the same, but perhaps for trickier balancing conditions, have conditional proc modifiers based on whether battle spirit is active and whether it can affect a player or monster?
I think this is a good place to start. and we have to start somewhere, otherwise its just insanity making the same mistakes over and over again.
