Mud-ball toy...

I know it's a kind of joke item, but....

Some people are doing too many times through the serious group mission(ex.Vet dunegon)
against other 3 member. Maybe kids player or kind of bit toxic troll guys though.

Well it's already exceeded just joke. It already became kind of harassment behavior. Not joke anymore
I think....developer remove those emote or gimmick from the game. It's lack of etiquette too much.

If you feel you're being harrassed by someone using it, report them. There's no reason to remove it, it's part of a quest in an event even.

Either vote to kick, or leave the dungeon. Much simpler than taking away an emote from everyone just because one player is making you mad.

While I don't think it should be taken away as it's already in the game for so long, I'm still not sure whether it was a good decision to introduce a game item that could easily be used to annoy other players. I know with a little creativity you can basically use everything to annoy others, but this is a really obvious case. And while I'm personally not bothered by it (I ignore it most of the time - unless it's while waiting for a world boss and the other person seems to want a mudball fight so the waiting is less boring), I often read that players find it really disruptive.

It directly affects other players and, is more often than not, considered irritating and immature. Therefore, I'd be happy to see it only functional during the relevant event and in the privacy of homes/guildhalls.

Throwing cherry blossoms is much nicer.

How else would I show my displeasure when someone steals a node/chest from me after I took the time to defeat the enemies standing on top of it?

If we're talking the mudball away for those who are annoyed by it, then remove the trumpet emote, remove the Molag Bal polymorph, remove the werewolf personality off of female characters because their screeching is extremely annoying, remove the deadlands dog/wolf whatever non-combat pet that sounds like it's throwing up a bowl of chunky meat every 5 seconds.

It is already official policy that if you ask someone to stop mudballing you (or spamming emotes at you or teabagging you) and they continue, that is considered harassment and you can report them for it. But ZOS requires you to ask them to stop so it's clear that the behavior is unwanted in that situation. If they are in offline mode, ZOS says to put the request to stop in another channel (group, say, zone, etc.).

It would be nice to have a toggle to opt out of participation in emotes/emote sounds so that we can mute them without muting the whole game, and have the emotes available without needing to participate all the time.

I actually like the mudball and snowball emotes, but I use them in consensual "battles" between friends and guldies, not on strangers.

However if a stranger does try to engage me in a snowball/mudball fight, I will gleefully participate with them, so long as I can avoid hitting or annoying others.

A toggle would be nice though. There are times when even I don't want to participate in these emotes. (Especially the instruments. x.x)

I also would like a toggle to not be affected by these emotes. I find them irritating and not the least bit fun.

I had a friend that would constantly pelt me with flower petals every time I saw him even though I asked him repeatedly to stop. I had to threaten to block him before he finally quit. Although we are no longer friends because he just replaced one bad habit with another.

But I digress. Players should not be forced to be unwilling participants in what some stranger considers fun. We need a toggle.

Btw, I purchased the snowball emote back then and I respond with that whenever I get mudballed - because I'm still cooler XD

The only change mudball needs is to no longer stop players' emotes when used. It should check if they're emoting and skip the wipe-off animation it forces. Then people can't really use it to grief people who are vibing.

Mudballing interrupts what I'm doing. I don't like.
I think should be removed as it appears now to be a 'legitimate' form of harassment.

Spammed AOE heals that force my char to arm their weapon is also up there on the annoying list.

Reporting players doesn't work. Most have names like: iusfdgeiuoewrtghui. So even if you do manage to track who it was, you can never spell their name correctly in the report.

The thing about asking them to stop, they always have the game set so you cannot whisper them.

Also, you know what bullies do when you ask them to stop harassing you? They turn up the dial to max harassment and all their friends start harassing you as well. You just told them it bothers you and it’s like “challenge accepted”.

There should be no item or emote in a game that gives a player the ability to affect the appearance and disrupt the animations of another player's character in this way. It was bad design from day 1, but ZOS refuses to admit that they may have made a mistake. Blocking doesn't work as they can still spam the mudball and emotes, and abilities, etc. Reporting doesn't work because ZOS does not review them unless you harass them or enlist a large group of people to mass report them.

But you know... they can implement a tool that spies on private conversations between friends, looking for a specific set of words they refuse to tell us about and then flag them for "review" by a "real person" and subsequently suspend the player for benign jokes.

Cheaters are still rampant in PvP, along with widespread bugs that have persisted for years in some cases, and the mudball is still a fantastic tool for driving players off of this dying game. Its sad. I love this game, but its devs hate us.

I know it's come from gesture event season.
Personally, I destroy it immediately if I get it from the event.

Just one troll guy kept doing those behavior against other 3 member including me.
I couldn't find out "1 bad guy" in that time, because I'm doing "busy decent real tank working"
in that time.

It's OK, if it's just "joke feeling" playing time. But keep doing those behavior through the group combat phase
is totally not good feeling. Please concentrate mission or leave.

ZOS should add "player disable switch" against receiving those troll action.
Player still can do gesture event mission without it.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm misremembering, maybe it was removed.... but wasn't there an option you could toggle to make it so you couldn't be targeted by mementos and such? got booted from the game (again... and again... and again) so cant check right now, but I could have swore this was an option, under social or something. maybe Im thinking of a different game, but I havent played many other MMOs in a long while, so i think its this one

If so, I haven't noticed yet. You can auto-decline duels, but I think there's nothing about mementos?

Nope, there is not any kind of that setting.
As @Syldras said, you can set auto decline duels and ToT nothing more.
