Absolutely a very good player, but he was using a lot of Arc abilities to do his business and was by far the strongest part of his herd or solo when he did the ol' run around a pebble LoS stuff.
More a testament to player skill than class strength, probably better on bomb Warden or pull Blade, but if you're getting good results I won't argue with those. Nobody plays Plar for being S tier damage, and yeah yall should try Pressure Plar.

Yeah, what you described earlier with Unleashed/Wretched/Maarselok is the Decimus Stamplar build and probably very effective for the reasons you and Minno described. I might give it a go at some point, but it's hard to put down Torc

knowing decimus, hes punishing alot of people with it lol.

Sometimes I look at those Crit lines on Rallying and think about stacking it with Deadly and Zaan.

Zaan always sounds so good for IC and duels, but (last I read) even with 50% crit chance you only have a 1/6 chance of proccing it with a Light Attack? Seems pretty iffy in Cyrodiil or BGs, where it would be harder to hold that tether anyway?

But that plus Sea Serpent's seems like such a strong 1v1 anti-gank, I've been considering it.

Tell me why I'm wrong, please. :D

Zaan is usually dead in open world because you seldom have the chance to stick on a target long enough, and then it's too easy to disengage from, while SSC is a bright blue flame that says "zerg me down, I can't run away." Deadly isn't bad or anything but it's significantly worse for a PvP pressure build than a damage proc set.

    Thank you, Xy!

I needed that before I started.

Good luck on the drops! I started running the Decimus unleashed/wretched/maarselok this afternoon, and it's very fun. His build for it is super tanky despite 5M, using CP and Protective Jewelry to oomph it up.

Torc is as good as advertised, especially for Ranged. I just don't like being Ranged on my Templar! Hopefully you get blessed by RNGeesus on Infinite Archive drops, that one can take a *while.*

That's why I think its good that magplar is rangplar this patch. The pressureplar is obviously more brawler so you can literally respec back and forth if you want (like me with only 1 max toon lol).

I've done the same for a long while, with a Torc Jabs build, a Torc ranged build, and a Torc Dizzying build. :D

Just replaced the Torc Dizzying Build with the unleashed one and I MUCH prefer playing melee, but I'd be hard pressed to say the ranged build isn't the strongest by a fair margin.

You really don't need to suffer the farm for Ayleid Torc...

Front bar NMG or Orders (crafted)

Back bar Wretched or Rallying (crafted or bought)

Monster of choice, Bloodspawn or Roksa are easy farms, Balo is an annoying farm

Mythic of choice, Wild Hunt and Tonal Torc are both underrated and easy farms

Fill the missing pieces with 2 Trainee or 1 Trainee 1 Druids

Protective or swift for that magplar setup? NMG looks thick with the 5pc applying major breach (frees up barspace).

3 Swift, or 2 Swift + 1 Infused Cost Reduction.

NMG is underrated, if only they were willing to give Major Breach to Toppling Charge...

Anyone still using war maiden? It used to hit like a truck.

I’m trying to find a good front bar for my magplar.

Back bar wise I can’t move away from wretched as it fixed my longstanding sustain issues.

I used to love War Maiden but these days I find it better to get the weapon damage from something like Rallying Cry, which adds to your actual stat line, since the w.dmg from WM doesn't add to your healing skills.
