Game forces me to autoloot stolen items from containers after U43

And before you ask, every single one of my characters has autoloot stolen items option turned off. I've doublechecked this multiple times.

Anyone else have this bug? It's getting really annoying since I like to check containers for possible folios I could steal... but then it autosteals them instead and I get a bounty. This never happened with the setting turned off before U43.

I haven't had this happen. Are you on computer or console? And if on computer, do you use any add-ons?

Edit: Oh, I see from your sig that you're on PC. Try disabling any add-ons to see if it helps.

i had a friend who had a similar problem, and it was definitely an addon that was doing that

i dont think they told me which addon it was though, and it wasnt one i used because i dont have the issue

Alright, I'm gonna try disabling them, thankfully this is easy to test since there exists that one un-guarded urn filled area in Necrom city.

Lazy Writ Crafter/Creator was causing this when U43 first dropped. It was updated within the day to correct the issue.

Many add-ons needed updates for a variety of things, so check that all of yours are updated to the latest versions. If it’s still happening, it may be another add-on doing it, in which case I would bring that to the author’s attention on the esoui.com page.

OHHH this explains it, I had forgotten to check my addons for updates. ^^' I tried stealing from an urn after updating and it works again! Thanks for the help.

Lazy Writ Crafter does a lot of things outside of writ-crafting.
You need to be familiar with all of them.

I'm aware of the stuff the addon does, this was just a case of forgetting to update my addons after the initial updating I did when U43 dropped.

out of personal habit, i always make sure i run minion before i launch the game each day just to check if addons need updating lol

its especially important to do that usually for at least the first week after a major update, as thats when a lot of addons are getting their updates in

Yeah, you're right, I should make a habit out of updating each morning just to be safe. x'D My memory isn't the greatest but routines help with that!
