Nothing. The Emperor simply left the campaign when reaching level 50 and therefore isn't shown on the leaderboard.
I'm but a sarcastic beef jerky. Irony and cynicism are my parents. You've been warned.

Or a bot account or cheater seeing the username is "asgasgdgasdg".

Though Mayhem a friend of mine was showing on the leaderboard as a completely different name than his actual character, but we knew it was the entry for him because it was showing his account name when hovering over it. Our whole group was confused and never worked out what was going on. He said he had never used the name that was displaying where his character name should be.

He didn't manage to get emp, so no idea if that would have shown his actual character name - but maybe this is related?

It was an very weird user name for some to make emperor, I agree. Becoming emperor is quite an commitment. Helped guild mates becoming one. Yes you can pay to get boosted but that is expensive and not something you would do with an stupid name. That the next in line also has an stupid name, I suspect cheating somehow.
Else if you get to 50 an leave the below 50 server you can not come back.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Or they had a forced name change from zos at some point.

This looks like one of those cases where people use the bug to get permanent emperor title to their account. If a character is deleted while having emperor, the account will have access to the title "Emperor" permanently (due to how account wide achievements works)

Honestly don't understand why sub 50 exists, should just be removed, only exists to sell emp and get "bugged" titles.

Now this is pretty genial and explain the weird name, its an throwaway character to get permanent emperor title.

ZOS then fixing this as in setting all not current emperor to former emperor would be hilarious.

Wow. I was unaware that was a bug (permanent emp title). I always wondered how people had 'Emperor/Empress' next to their names when they weren't, lol.

And Ty for the response and explanations. It makes more sense now.

I do mouse over the names in the list for the '@' ID to check for forced name changes (seen a few of those). The massive difference in score level usually happens in the space of an hour or two and sometimes when the faction has the map (I.E. no AP opportunities available) or that they were never seen in the group (nee. zerg) taking the map, so two-box, guild or friend boosting is evidenced.

    Ty again.
