GuildHistoryCache retention settings in UserSettings.txt not working after U43

I have configured GuildHistoryCache retention days in UserSettings.txt after the issues with U41 GuildHistory were happening (long loading screens on intrazone travel through wayshrines, doors, portals). I set the trader history esp. to 3 days, to keep the cache file at a more or less constant reasonable size.
After U43 this is not working anymore. GuildHistory cache is not truncated according to the retention settings upon login and initial load of the cached GuildHistory.
My cache currently holds 12 days, which aligns with the 9 days since U43 release plus 3 days that were retained prior to the patch.
Whether this is somehow related to some adjustments/improvements to GuidHistoryCache rewrites in U43 as noted in the PatchNotes is only vague suspicion.
But the PatchNotes dont mention any changes to the GuildHistoryCache settings in UserSettings.txt. I have confirmed this behavior on another PC (without any addons) and with another player.
