Potential new BGs

Hello!

Just a quick message to the devs asking that if there are plans for arena-type BGs (2v2, 4v4, etc.), please take into serious consideration a heavy penalty to healing from others. Of course, healers should still have an identity in these game modes, but it's no secret that just 1 healer is far more than enough for healing a group of 4. Please impose a heavy penalty for healing from others (50% penalty or more).

Also, please let there at least be a pure pvp version of these game modes, without flag, or chaosball, or relic objectives. Let there be a deterministic deathmatch option for the folks that want to pvp and push their builds and skills.

I also really hope that this and any other considerations will be genuinely made to avoid the playstyle of stalling until 3..2..1, ulti dump, rinse, repeat.

I am prepared to get flamed, but I still wanted this opinion out there ^_^

battle spirit already reduces healing done by -55%, this includes in BGs

i think they have tried to increase this penalty more at one point and it just really killed any kind of solo play and definitely made the healers lives miserable

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

I think OP specifically means healing received from others, not just the healing received stat.

I totally agree, by the way. This is something they should be testing across battlegrounds and cyrodiil. Reducing healing/shielding received from other players via battlespirit could go a long way towards solving some of the most prominent balance issues in PVP right now.

im pretty sure they did increase the battle spirit debuff at some point to as high as 75%, but that killed solo play

but i also agree that it only affects healing "done" not healing "received" as those are completely different stats

shielding is i feel another beast entirely, but agree that it has its own issues
