How many of you maxed out the amount of slots in your house, realizing that you cannot furnish it properly without blocking off areas entirely?
How many collectible furnishing slots are left in comparison to the traditional ones?
In consideration of the lack of slots, putting aside the existence of crown bought houses with far too little slots to be properly furnished (Looking at you, 600 slot Forgemaster's Fall).
If we could move the antiquities we can collect to the collectible furnishing section, I believe we could free some desperately needed slots there.
Once I had this idea, I used the new housing tours feature to have a look at several different recommended builds and checked their slots.
The vast majority of homes that had maxed out on traditional slots still had at least a quarter of their collectible slots left.
That's 110 slots for houses with 700 traditional ones.
110 slots freed and spent on antiquities and other collectible items for homes like the fogbreak lighthouse or Agony's ascend.
That's 40 slots (wtf?!) for homes with 600 traditional ones.
Imagine to suddenly have access to 40 extra slots in your Enchanted Snowglobe or Alpine Gallery.
And 20 extra slots freed up for player homes with 400 traditional slots!
10 slots for homes with only 200 traditional ones.
A whole 10 more slots for the undisputably underslotted Frostvault Chasm. Imagine that.
That's 10 more dwemer pipes you can shove in there, ha!
Inn rooms would only be able to place down a single antiquity furnishing. - But how many people would that actually limit in their creativity when the inn room itself offers only 30 slots in total for ESO plus subscribers? That's 3.000 gold for 30 slots and 1 antiquity, I believe the damage dealt there would me minimal.
My own Forgemaster's Falls build, which is currently sitting at 598/ 600 slots with the smaller house blocked off and 70% of the longhouse unfurnished would receive another 11 slots just by this change alone. I could place down 11 more items to at least finish the longhouse without leaving behind an entirely empty forge as I've seen in so many other people's builds.
How many traditional slots would you receive by this change and would the collectible items slots left suffice in regards of the amount of antiquities you've placed down?
