Making a new character isn't just about builds... Sometimes I think of a cool look for a character and want to make a new one with that look. Sometimes there is something released in the crown store(mount or costume or something) and I have an idea of what character to build around it. Sometimes I just want a new character to do something another character can't, without switching armory builds. Sometimes I want to make a new outfit and I want to keep an outfit in use, so can't change that character, instead I want to make a new character to create the new outfit on. Sometimes I am tired of never leveling a single CP in days, and want a new character to feel the leveling experience again. Sometimes I want to play a class without touching my existing characters. Sometimes playing a new character just feels fresh, as there is soo much to do. And many many more reasons.TybaltKaine wrote: »I really don't see it happening any time soon.
I also don't get the need for more than 20 characters, considering you can have 10 armory slots per character, which is essentially 200 different characters (yes, they are 10 iterations of the same character, but unique builds within those iterations).
Feels like a very niche product that wouldn't make much sense to invest resources into, especially without adding a new race or class.

If the Armory save your build, sets or gear and appearance including mount and pets there would not be a need for you to create more characters.
ZOS dropped the ball here with lack of foresight or desire to create an Armory that feeds the needs of the players to create.
It's a shame they didn't take the Armory to a fun place for us Paying players to go off on many builds as we would love to create without making new toons.,
I say this needs to be addressed as a Armoy problem not a character space issue.

In the meantime, try a swap from the US server to the EU, you keep all your purchases, so you can at least plan in advance for more character slots.

That is not true at all.
I had to repurchase all the key items in the Crown Store on EU. (The banker/merchants/etc.) Mounts are also different along with housing.
That is a major flaw, but it is what we have.
Account-wide does not mean account-wide.

Partly true: anything bought with IRL funds is available on the other server. What is bought in the Crown Store, no.
Everything that is bought at the website like crowns and - as you mentioned - chapters and ESO+. There was or is a bundle including a pet that ends up on both servers, too. The same applies to the trash crates from Twitch and other rewards. Everything that is added to an account from outside of the game is available on both servers, everything bought from the crown store inside the game is only available on the server you are logged in.
