5 months and 2 major patches later, Grave Lord's Sacrifice is Still Not Functioning Correctly

GLS was introduced back in March, and despite bug reports during that PTS cycle, and multiple bug reports since then, the ability still does not function correctly.

GLS is supposed to make third casts of Skull AoE, and make the third cast generate a corpse.

If the third cast of Skull is a killing blow on the initial target, it does not apply its AOE damage to any other targets around, and does not create a corpse. This happens very frequently, since the third cast is a big damage proc.

It's quite absurd that this hasn't even been acknowledged yet, despite multiple posts, in game reports, and video evidence included.

Oh, and to put the cherry on top, the ability still isn't even labeled correctly, despite ZOS being aware of this in their own patch note comments back in March.

In summary, ZOS butchered the most used ability in Necromancer's kit, and won't even acknowledge the fact that its replacement doesn't work correctly.

    Inb4 ''but they made it castable out of combat with Patch 43''. Nice, maybe now that the skill finally has the same basic functionality that pretty much every other self buff skill in the game has we could start seeing actual improvements made to GLS.

    Let's not pretend that the skill is suddenly in a good spot, the damage buff received is still delayed because it is tied to the Skeleton jumping to you, Skeleton which is affected by LoS and CC. Can you name any other self buff skill in the game that suffers from these problems?

    Then we have a portion of the buff not even working correctly, as described by the OP. I know that the first iteration of the skill was different than the one released on live, but if you are going to spend 1 PTS cycle basically destroying the most used offensive skill morph that Necromancer had you could at least make sure that the skill works correctly.

    Making a self buff castable out of combat or giving access to stuff like Major Prophecy/Savagery is good, but it is basic stuff that other classes already had for years.

    My Grave Lord's Sacrifice got negated while I was doing pve the other day. And it just sat there hunched over for like 10 seconds while I couldn't get my buff lol. It needs another rework

    Since it is a sacrifice, let it explode on enemies as a sacrifice and give us the buff then. The delay is already bad enough as it clearly lowers dps for several seconds, so I don't see why we can not have an exploding sacrifice instead of a sacrifice that may or may not give us a buff.

    Disappointing. The Necro buffs this patch are encouraging but there is still a ways to go. GLS has not been able to fill the giant BlastBones shaped hole in the Necro's kit. To reiterate the situation: Necro's unique and best damage skill was replaced with another that has remained bugged and broken since it's introduction. Might as well be a blank spot on the skill menu.

    The funny thing is that ZOS could easily solve this problem(and also help Blighted BB at the same time) by making the Skeleton non-targetable/invulnerable, similar to how Skeletal Mage works.

    Instead, we have this summon that is specifically designed to explode and die, be completely shut down by stuff like Negate or any long duration CC that managed to affect it. On top of that the game won't allow you to even recast the skill because it will be disabled on your bar as long as the Skeleton is alive.

    Imagine if the NB Bow proc/C.Frag projectile could be completely shut down because it got hit by an AoE CC and now you can't even recast it and have to wait like 8s for the skill to no longer be greyed out on your bar.
