Hello.
Some of you old timers might remember a huge player created community event back in the beginning of ESO in 2014 and 2015 in Stonefalls and Deshaan called the Ashlander War. It was a very ambitious project that drew both praise and criticism due to some players being hard to deal with I will say.
I personally was impressed by the storyline and how ambitious it was for the roleplay community to try to unite so many to perform on the stage of ESO. Since the 10 year anniversary has come and gone, I felt it was time for that event to be recognized in a historical writing. I want to acknowledge TheHumanFloyd, Dwarftastic, Feran, Viv, and so many others for their encouragement and help in gathering screenshots and documents related to this event. As I go through these records, I will probably find that I need to change the format of this "book," but here is the format so far:
I.
Introduction
Brief overview of the setting: Morrowind in the 2nd Era
The two main groups: the Ashlanders and the Great Houses
The prophecy of the Nerevarine
II.
The Rising Tensions
Chapter 1: The Growing Divide
Chapter 2: The Prophecy Unfolds
Chapter 3: The Great Houses Respond
III.
The War Begins
Chapter 4: The First Battles
Chapter 5: Early Victories
Chapter 6: The War Intensifies
IV.
The Turning Point
Chapter 7: The Tide Shifts
Chapter 8: The Ashlanders in Retreat
V.
The End
Chapter 9: The Battle of Ash Mountain
Chapter 10: The Fall of the Nerevarine
Chapter 11: The New Order
VI.
Personal Accounts
Chapter 12: Voices from the War
Accounts from those who experienced the triumphs and horrors of the War and those who were affected by the events surrounding the war.
An Ashlander warrior or wisewoman
A Tribunal priest
A Dunmer soldier
A member of a Great House
A Morrowind faction member
A simple Morrowind citizen
This is what I need from anyone who either was part of it or even just remembers it, I need the "personal accounts" (chapter 12 above) from characters who experienced or were affected by the War. It need not be perfect writing. Blending, ie mixing real life feelings with in character feelings, is allowed as it adds to the realism. They can be short little two line statements. They can be one page orations. I will consider all writings for adding to the "book." Who knows, maybe this will be kind of cathartic for some of you. I will not judge nor change your views.
If you might know someone who used to be part of one of the factions, but may not be part of RP or the Game anymore, please pass on this request. All who participate will be acknowledged for their contributions.
