Weird transmute geodes

I do pledges on a regular basis since a couple of weeks (very sporadic prior to that).

When doing hm pledges for the easier dungeons (glirion and maj) I get BLUE transmute geodes that contain 5 transmutes

When doing hm pledge for the dlc dungeion (urgalag) I get intact PURPLE transmute geodes that contain: 2! transmutes only!

That is really weird and I think considering that dlc dungeons on vet are more difficult than the others the reward should be higher in terms of number of transmutes. It should be at minimum equal to the other pledges.

It's been this way for years - the golden rule is: don't question ZOS. Their decisions are immutable.

Does not mean you're wrong though.

Still... PUGs are riskier, i.e. you never know who you're going to run like a madman/madmer with.

I think they increased the numbers of crystals for normal pledges but forgot to do this for the dlc dungeons.
Think it earlier was just one crystal for them.

This has been bugged at least since March 2024 (Update 41: Scions of Ithelia DLC). It hasn't been bugged for years, but it has been several months, and it's also been reported many times. I heard that it's supposed to be getting fixed and the geode is going to be rewarding between 5-10 transmute crystals, but I'm not sure if that's true because I read it in zone chat.

And you're right, the rewards should be staggered and giving more for higher difficulties: Base Game Normal < DLC Normal < Base Game Veteran < DLC Veteran < Base Game Hard Mode < DLC Hard Mode.

This is a problem with most of the "endgame" rewards. Usually the only difference is Blue Gear on Normal and Purple Gear on Veteran (big deal, it's easy to upgrade from Blue to Purple), and then the newer trials and arenas reward Non-Perfected Gear on Normal and Perfected Gear on Veteran. But the rest of the rewards are pretty much the same like XP, Gold, etc.

I will never understand why they made the Daily Random Normal Dungeon give the exact same rewards as the Daily Random Veteran Dungeon... Because Veteran is obviously harder and more time consuming, and should give more rewards than Normal...

The issue started when they changed the key rewards for pledges.

The pledges have always awarded the standard geodes, depending on if you did normal, vet, or HM. When they increased the key values for DLC dungeons, they also changed Urgarlag's transmutes from the standard geode to the uncracked geode, which means you now get a random number of transmutes from her instead of the 5 you're supposed to, which usually ends up being 2.

It's been reported several times, but still wasn't fixed on PTS as of the second week. I don't have any EU characters so I haven't tested since they changed servers.
