Yes, I'd like this, for all characters. It's a great hairstyle! I'd also like to see all hairstyles on the character creator unlocked for all characters, in addition to any future NPC hairstyles. Love the fact that the recent hair releases have been for everyone, as they should be.

More buns for everyone. They have been so common in all kind of cultures in medieval times, including those that have a huge stylistic influence on TES' cultures (particularly on Nord and Dunmer), it would make more sense to include this than what ever weird thing ZOS might come up with otherwise.

Also, I refuse to use the stupid term "manbun". Before the "men must have short hair" nonsense, that didn't start before industrialization (and the only reason it started was that people were concerned that long hair might get stuck in machines), no one would have considered using such a term. It's a bun, or a topknot, plain and simple.

I forget where I saw this, but the comment that a man bun doesn’t make you look like a samurai but more like a soccer mom resonates with me, lol.

Fortunately, we have no soccer mums or hipsters in Tamriel.

But we have Dunmer, whose style is heavily influenced by East and South Asian (in particular Chinese, Japanese and Indian) and Mesopotamian (Sumerian, Akkadian) cultures, who all had bun hairstyles from antiquity until feudal times.

And in the real world West, the Romans were the big anomaly with their short hairstyles, which were deliberately kept short to distance themselves from other cultures who they deemed "barbarian", who all kept their hair long, also in braids and knots. Which were namely the Norse, Vandals, Goths, Gauls,... (basically almost everyone else, really). Which would certainly fit TES' Nords very well.

We could even include Bretons, although TES seems to base them more on Late Middle Ages or even Early Modern (1500+) fashion, less on the Celts.

And considering Mesopotamia, Redguards could make use of hairstyles with braids and knots as well.

In all honesty, I don't see the resemblance between this hair style and what people refer to as a "soccer mom bun". This hair style is much neater and lacks the characteristic "messy" look associated with the term. This particular hair style resembles certain samurai hair styles much more, although not exact. It would be nice if we could get variations of this (with different textures, both curly and straight) that have several different types of bun and topknot.

Even if it was messier (and honestly, we should have messy bun hair styles- for everyone. I'd love that) "soccer mom bun" is a term I find as silly and restricting as the term "man bun", especially since it's mostly used in a derogatory manner. Nearly everyone with long hair throws their hair up in a messy bun now and then to get the stuff out of their face while doing chores, regardless of who they are. It's just human. Or in this case, Mer, lol.

It isn't uncommon for men to have long hair in Tamriel, I doubt one throwing his hair up in a bun would make anyone in this world bat an eye, nor would they have these kinds of preconceived notions.

Either way, yes to the bun hair style. Please make it for everyone, and consider broadening the kinds of hair styles we get even more.

You may find one in Hammerfell :p Try Abibon-Gora.

I don't - and my mother used to complain about it all the time, and would always try to persuade me (in vain) to braid it or tie it to a knot at least because that would be "neater" - loose hair is super barbaric/rogue in the East :D

But on a more serious note, of course people do it for practical reasons, and this would also apply to Tamriel. Which proud Nord man would cut his hair short just because it's in the way sometimes?!

Let alone there were dozens of different knot types that are considered real, elaborate hairstyles in feudal East Asia, and didn't just exist for convenience. I can imagine the same very well for Dunmer. Even TES3 already had a few.

Really, no soccer moms? They usually have the “I want to speak to a manager” hairstyle anyway, lol

I was just jesting. A man bun might work for some guys if they were as muscular as a samurai but they usually are not.

yep I'd like to see this one in game for men and women

For guys, I do Hanfu cosplay with my wife, I'm not a stranger to wearing a bun as a guy. It's comfortable to do it or to have half long hair up, half down.

I have pride in it and like it. I think it looks strong on all men.

But the thing is: That hairstyle was never limited to Samurai. It's the standard feudal Asian hairstyle, no matter if the wearer is a tiny skinny guy or a fat old man. That should matter when it comes to the implementation in ESO, not what some hipster today might think.

Dunmer style borrows so much from ancient China in term of furniture and clothing, some items in ESO being exact copies, I don't see why that should stop when it comes to hairstyles.

Half-related Chinese drama pictures, just because I like them :p
