I have a voucher to redeem but when I put the code in it says I must give my game registration first

Where would I find the game registration? I've tried the codes from billing history. From the very earliest to the most recent and a couple of them in between. None of those codes work. Sorry to ask such a basic question, but I'd love to redeem this voucher they gave me
