Templar Fixes

1) Backlash and its morph provides major brutality/sorcercy on both bars - base damage and bonus dmg is buffed both by 30%
2) Puncture strike and its morphs damage is increased by 20%. Biting jabs now does snare on first hit for 1 second hit immobilize for 1 second, and third it does a 2 second stun. Both puncture sweep and biting jab have the same damage value.
3) Templar passive Spear Wall is applied to both bars as long as the Templar has a spear ability slotted - provides constant defensive capability for Templar.
4) Reduce Radiant Destruction and its passive low health damage to 180 and 225%.
5) Living Dark heals when receiving any damage including dots - this would help with Templar being a bit more defensive.
6) Balanced warrior passive are both changed to 10% vs 6% and 1320.

The goal here is to bring back the melee brawler Templar.

Leave Radiant Destruction alone. Its all Templars have. I don't care how much it show up in your PVP death recap.

I've been playing a little magplar in pvp while we see where warden is landing. I'd love #1 even if it was only for the duration of backlash (though I see the value being way less in pve that way).

Also radiant is pretty much all magplars have in pvp too at the moment.

    a. I have difficulty even justifying a spammable on my offensive bar. I've been using toppling charge as a makeshift spammable.
    b. The addition to burst from backlash feels minimal. Radiant and ice comet is the only thing closing kills. Landing all three along with a stun before comet is the only way at a chance taking down tankier opponents and that is unreliable too.
    c. Skilled players have no problem repeatedly interrupting radiant even if you catch them slipping.

Any damage taken from radiant needs to find a solid place where it is accessible by magplar and puncturing is underwhelming in it's current form.

Radiant is fine as it is damage wise, I could see lowering the range though. Please lower the range on lightning heavies too while we are at it.

Replace toppling with explosive charge as you get 10 seconds on the major and the damage, interrupts and stun are an an AoE. Works great against ball groups. I use a pull and that skill on my debufplar.

It has nothing to do with death recap. It has everything to do with options and right now Templars don’t have many other than range them to death.

I started with explosive, moved to toppling to get the guaranteed stun.

What really shocked me about templar is I feel it's bar space problems are worse than sorc. Scribing has made it a little easier though.

So you want to make the one thing they have... worse.

i dont really like any of these suggested changes lol

first of all, the change to jabs would be straight up overpowered no question

second i like jesus beam as it is, i agree with others its the templars most effective tool, it actually feels satisfying being able to finish people off (i was playing a pve stamplar in IC a bunch over the weekend, that was one of the most fun times ive had in pvp in awhile lol)
    plays PC/NA
    handle @Necrotech_Master
    active player since april 2014

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

Nope. The goal is for you to buy and play as Arcanist.

I would absolutely be against a hard CC on jabs unless we want to wreck it even more as a spammable. Higher end play often requires CC burst windows in PvP. Spamming CC immunity frivolously is not good. I already want to scream when a friendly is spamming javelin for it. It needs it's splash damage treated as such and it's main target damage not considered AOE to get it away from the needless evasion buff reduction

Backlash should have major breech base. It needs damage components for sure so id like a mechanic where it does its current damage store when purged similar to Plaguebreak. I don't see a need for another buff source of major brutality/sorcery that requires a target. Use entropy if that's what you want

Living Dark is already very strong. Needs nothing. ER on the other hand, 5 effects is too little these days. Base of the ability should also be the templar removal of shares and roots with immunity other classes have received

If you really want a source of major brutality/sorc for plar; put it on that solar barrage to give a reason to run it beyond the little 5% class skill damage that yields less than what you can get passively slotting something else.

    My 2 cents
