Castle Thorn lag issue in final boss fight

I just did a run of Castle Thorn today and it was barely playable. During the boss's invulnerability phase, you have to stay within a safe area or take massive damage-over-time. The problem was that this appeared on my end as static. I had to just blindly stick to my teammates, which often resulted in me dying since our tank was often completely outside of the safe area.

    This has been going on a very, very long time. Some people get it often, some people it never happens to. I think it might have to do with settings or computer specs… either way it’s on the list of things ZOS needs to look into… I made a post about the others around here somewhere. Gotta love half the DSR Twins HM mechanics being invisible!

    It's definitely just a game problem, as this absolutely occurs every time I have entered that fight on console.
