You get 12 inks over 13 days.
Less than 1 per day. If you login every day to get them. It gets lower if you don't.

Wouldn't farming be quicker?

Players that don't need or; are unable to use them, will probably just sell them. If you sell them for 10K each, that's an easy 120K. So market has more, prices are lower. Everybody wins!

So what got dropped of the monthly list to make room?
Gold mats?
Cash?

farming is absolutely not quicker, i barely get them as is

my current avg is maybe 1-3 units per week, even when i did farm nodes like a bot i would be lucky to even see 1 in an hour, so getting simply 3 for logging in is basically a full weeks worth of ink drops for me

gold road has been out almost 2 solid months on PC and im still under 50 inks earned, 12 of which were from the questline

so thats 30 inks in ~8 weeks (~56 days)

the majority of those i got as drops the 2nd week when i was testing the viability of farming through harvesting nodes, but that quickly became severely un-fun so i stopped doing that

i would prefer to actually use the inks for scribing, but ive gotten so few i still cant even make 1 scribe skill outside the freebie one on my 10 alts yet

as for other rewards it doesnt bother me, gold mats i have plenty of and dont need to use as often, gold i dont need either, i have 100+ million in the bank, scrolls i dont use (research ones i have 0 use for, xp ones i only rarely use when i need to level a new toon)

the pets, emotes, and other collectibles they add in have more value to me than those common items, even though im unlikely to actually use them

I got 2 yesterday, in 2.5 hours farming in between fishing holes; I got 1 today ditto. Pretty skint....

Sure. It's daily logins. They're not bound, you can get them (4 days, 3 each day) and try to sell them. Or use them - though if you don't have GR, the only things you can do are bank them or sell them.

The reward ones? I have no idea.

They're tradable if you get them, according to the announcement. But if you don't have Gold Road, you won't be able to do the quest to use them (going from what others have said- i don't have GR).

Ask an admin if it's really important to you.

For you! For you it's fine.

For me 1 an hour when I'm farming none if I don't, consistently. It's not fine.

I'm ok if they increase my drop rate, apparently you don't need it.

Judging from this screenshot and how my add-on works, the drops from the drops page are the same unbound ink we get as drops which means that the only gate is HOW you obtain the ink. Gold Road only unlocks the ability for ink to drop, non Gold Road accounts can still buy them from guild stores/hold them so they should be universal for all accounts to do as they will.

this is what i usually do, ill harvest either on my way or near the area of the objective im heading to, very rarely do i see ink doing this

in the past few weeks 90% of my ink drops have come from kills doing trials or dungeons

I agree that it needs addressing, I only meant that I think additional sources are needed rather than just increasing the droprate from farming materials.

I agree that it needs addressing, I only meant that I think additional sources are needed rather than just increasing the droprate from farming materials.

after next update they will drop from virtually everything except pvp

next update its being added to heavy sacks and treasure chests, in addition to the material nodes/urns and killing npcs

they should be included in some form of pvp, rewards of the worthy would make the best choice there so you could get it from any kind of pvp

I don't "farm" nodes of any kind except for the daily endeavor. I thought that was just done by bots?

My characters farm nodes all the time they're out doing quests or whatever. I NEVER pass a node without grabbing it.
