Finally! I've been patiently waiting for it to be available on mobile since the game returned to the platform. :)

Yes, with GeForce NOW and if you bought the game through Steam.

Isn’t it kind of hard to see what’s going on with a phone? Even a big phone?

it is not tragic for daily log in or even crafting at launch break, if you go through settings at crafting stations and enable to show quest only.

and for being on iphone/ android means also ipad/tablet/tv

as for pc was steady connection for the pvp event.

A phone-thing with more than 135GB in free space then?
Do you still need to install the game client?

I'm really not interested in playing any game on a phone-sized screen.

No. You don’t install the game client. It is streamed to your device from the Nvidia servers. Be mindful of any data limits you have.

I agree, but I can see it might be useful for daily reward when you can't get to your PC - but I didn't buy ESO through Steam so I guess it's moot

I agree this is cool. I'm logging in on my potato laptop while on vacation which doesn't have enough space or graphics power to download ESO. Sometimes it gets an error after a patch or it has noticeable lag, but when it works, I haven't had to worry about missing log in rewards that I want to work towards.

Yeah, it's different for people who aren't retired like I am. I have access to my desktop pc 24/7/365, and I just have no interest in accessing a game or anything else online from anywhere but my very secure desktop pc.

I have a mobile phone. It has no apps installed. It's specifically for text from family and friends (and security access for my financial accounts as well as a few medical professionals for husband). To me.... it's nothing but a phone - one I don't actually have to talk on.

I HATE phones.... and there is NO WAY IN HELL I'm going to pretend a phone is a reasonable substitute for my desktop pc.

Yeah, It's awesome for that. I can grab my daily login reward and still do my crafting writs if I can't get to my main PC.

I have ESO on my steam deck, but never play it there. I think the reason is lack of addons. But when it comes to playing on my iphone, finger on glass is not my input method of choice. How would eso even work witrh a touch screen? Would you tap the skills bar? I'm guessing you'd need to use a controller with the iphone? I use a razer naga with my pc, and I'm really bad with a controller. Another reason I don't play on steam deck. If you're used to playing with a controller and no addons then I can see it potentially being useful in a pinch. Reading tooltips could be tricky lol.

I use a Backbone controller with my phone and play with the console UI. And, yeah, no addons.

It looks like it is also available through Epic game store too. If you don't own the game through either Steam or Epic, there will be a buy button on GeForce NOW that takes you to the store page for the base game. I got the base game from Steam for cheap during a sale.

Edit: Apparently, I also picked up the base game from the Epic store at some point too LOL. It works as well.

    Uh um, well, ok.
Idk I play through GeForce Now but I wouldn't play on mobile.
Heck, I wouldn't play it on anything that's not keyboard+mouse, because it's obviously superior input method in this game.

Crafting at lunch break, man, this sounds so sad.

Hmm I’m only interested in it so I can get the daily log in on weekends because I’m away then. I have ESO directly, not through Steam or Epic.

Not sure I could use GeForce NOW then. Maybe I have to buy a laptop lol.

The worst thing is people expecting you to be available all the time. I only have a mobile phone because of constant nagging ("But you NEED one!"), and usually "forget" it when going outside... Seriously, if I'm outside, I don't want to talk to anyone. Either I'm having an appointment, then I don't have time anyway, or I'm grocery shopping, then I just want to get it done and return home, or I'm doing something for leisure (hobbies, travelling, etc), then I don't want to be disturbed. It's simple, actually ;)

I do see that "smart phones" can be useful while travelling, though (easy access to the internet, maps, translators, all that - or like mentioned in this thread, to log in at ESO for the daily reward at least). But I still don't have one (I use a really old Nokia phone I could use for an emergency call or send text messages if neccessary, that's more than enough for me).

For those considering GeForce Now but don't have a Steam copy, there are directions for linking your ZOS account to your Steam account, then you have to buy a copy of the base game on Steam, and when you log in after following the directions, you will have your ZOS account characters and all Chapters and DLC you already own. You don't have to start over or invest in a separate account all over again. I did this before going on vacation and it worked. I also grabbed the base game on sale when I decided to try this.

    Wowowowow wow.

One of my favourite ESO moments ever was dragon hunting from a hammock using Google Stadia.

The device you play on changes your expectations and experience, so ESO feels like a new game on a mobile, and is far better than any other mobile game.

Obviously it's not going to be good for all content, but for making overland content seem fresh, or being a convenient way to check something, or do a quick event quest, I will be buying yet another copy of the game.
#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.
