"Voluminous" ... Having great volume or size
potentially earning 12 Luminous Ink in total

I guess they are talking about the bottle it is in?

if the inks from daily logins count toward the achievement, i might finally hit 50

ink drops are still absolute garbage, getting 12 in those 4 days will probably be the same amount ive gotten in the past 4 weeks

Luminous means bright. It's saying the ink glows, also that the scribing questline has beings known as Luminaries.

They are two similar sounding words but with a totally different meaning.

Both words are in the announcement, but voluminous use in reference to the amount, specifically, “voluminous amounts of luminous ink” — so a great volume of glowing ink :)

I assume this refers to the size of the bottle, not how many bottles we get. 12 does not sound voluminous to me. Twelve does not seem like a voluminous amount of eggs, for example.

compared to the current drop rate of ink, it is a massive amount, at least for some of us lol

12 ink is almost 50% of the entire amount of ink ive gotten as random drops in the last 8 weeks

They were probably just going for the word play, since those two words sound so similar-- or rather, one contains the other. But also, we get a total of 12 inks per character by doing the quests-- 3 per Luminary quest-- so 12 inks just for logging in is actually a bit generous. Consider that it's enough to scribe 4 skills, whereas a daily login reward for, say, a legendary mat is only a small fraction of the amount needed to improve a piece of gear. So, yeah-- in that respect, it is rather voluminous.

Yeah, it was fancy wordplay. :p

Hopefully you are enjoying the ink!
