All I have seen so far are the painted symbols on the wayshrines. The carpets are really nice!

I saw the shields, but since they were around the battleground quest/merchant area, I thought they'd always been there and I just hadn't noticed.

I like the wayshrine decorations from all the events this last year. Makes seasonal events actually feel a bit more like events in game. Would be nice if we got more than wayshrines though. I remember Guild Wars 1 used to go ham decorating the main cities for events and it really gave the player hubs a cool vibe.
