I respectfully disagree. Trait research takes 6 months, so adding more traits would make it even worse, particularly since trait research time per equipment item is doubled for each successive researched trait.

at worst though it caps at 30 days, if you have the passives

if you didnt have the passives i agree it would be awful, that would be 104 days research for a 10th trait

as of right now it still takes approx 1.5-2 years to finish all traits on all items if you start on a fresh account

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

I returned to ESO last November with a fresh account, and it took me just over 5 months. But then too I purchased research scrolls every day with writ vouchers, endeavors, and gems.

my time quote is without any kind of boosting, aside from the normal skill line passives lol

they didnt have any of the booster times back during game launch which is when i did all my research on my main

Quite a controversial topic, as there is already too much variety in the game, newcomers just drown in it all

You said "as of right now...", and "as of right now" you can get all the research done in far less time than you could at launch, because they have added in purchasable research scrolls (buyable with in-game currencies).

(If the only thing they had added was a crown store, paid, shortcut, I would agree with you)
Tenacious Dreamer - Hurricane Herald - Godslayer - Dawnbringer - Gryphon Heart - Tick Tock Tormenter - Immortal Redeemer - Dro-m'Athra Destroyer
The Unchained - Oathsworn - Bedlam's Disciple - Temporal Tempest - Curator's Champion - Fist of Tava - Invader's Bane - Land, Air, and Sea Supremacy - Zero Regrets - Battlespire's Best - Bastion Breaker - Ardent Bibliophile - Subterranean Smasher - Bane of Thorns - True Genius - In Defiance of Death - No Rest for the Wicked - Nature's Wrath - Undying Endurance - Relentless Raider - Depths Defier - Apex Predator - Pure Lunacy - Mountain God - Leave No Bone Unbroken - CoS/RoM/BF/FH Challenger

they are an in-game resource to aid the process... Ignoring their use is extremely misleading.

Agreed, and used right they significantly reduce the time needed to complete.

Also keep in mind that instant scrolls are regularly handed out as daily login rewards and can be gotten with seals of endeavors.

i sometimes forget that there are natural sources of them in game now instead of only crown store

i immediately dismiss using any consumable thing from the crown store

if i was still actually doing research, i absolutely would use them, but i finished all of that 8-9 years ago when it was actually a "big deal" to be done with research because there were no speed up items
