Pleas fix Templar or the class from the game.

Templar were the ultimate healing class when this game first came out. Now all classes can heal and do it better from my experience than a Templar. Templar healing skills cost more resources on average and provides less to groups than other classes. The other identity of the Templar is a front line melee warrior has reduced to a range single target character that has become boring to play.

Templar lacks debuffs, group utility and overall its identity has been destroyed game wise. Please fix Templar to be Templar again.

In PvP I put my templar recently into Order's wrath, Tarnished, Saint + Seducer and one piece Balorgh. It was quite effective. The tarnished would proc on the first part of a fight and then when you start your beam, it procs again and you get a big burst.

Of course the build is all damage so it's squishy, but it was fun. Also since very few people are running Plaguebreak these days, the purce heal is very strong in PvP especiall against oils/cold fire

Are you sure that's a "templar" rather than a collection of proc sets?

Yep, yep and yep. Again, the tldr for ZoS devs: please revert/change jabs, burning light make stronger and purifying light/potl do more damage to bring it in line with other bursts.

As OP said too, perhaps more debuffs. Many buffs present but no debuffs. Mainly thought please refer to first paragraph. Templar’s core has been dampened so much to the point where it’s sad playing them.

In PvE it’s still not great. Templars took a massive dps hit after the changes, there’s a reason why certain builds dont use jabs

There is still typically one plar dps on any good team. TD/DM teams run 2 in many cases. Might not see em as much on mid level teams but in high end teams we always have at least 1.

To be fair, I think "raw numbers wise" templar look great because of The Beam.

Therefore, I have a suggestion:

Rename templar BEAMER, use the BMW logo for the class (they will pay for product placement) and just put the entire class kit into The Beam™

Sadly, it is. My templar healer used to be my main for group PvE content, but templar brings nothing that another class doesn’t have and better — NB and warden are generally considered meta for trials. Even arcanist and sorc offer additional buffs and sorc was never a good healer class.

My recent experience with trying to make non proc arcanist work kinda reminded why some classes kinda need them to function.

I wish It wasnt the case ofc.

Afaik templars are only behind arcanists in endgame dps. I saw some guy analyzing eso logs the other day and plar dmg looked more than competitive.
