I really think there should be a chance to get really high quality items as bonus so that it is really worthwhile to try to find it.
I get them to see if I can. Especially once you get to the higher levels and getting them all out is a matter of connecting the fissures to trigger a chain reaction it's like a puzzle. It doesn't take long and I like to see if I can get it right. It's never really crossed my mind to worry about the gold value of the items.

I don't always find bonus items in fissures (yes, digging up gold antiquities on level 10 characters so yes, there's supposed to be 3 bonus items). I will sometimes find a bonus in a fissure if it's near the antiquity, but the fissures at the edges never seem to have any in them....

I think they were saying they connect the fissures together, by creating a path between them all at the same depth and then you use the "A" button to create a chain reaction which clears the path to the bottom of the dig.
It is a effective and fun way to expose the bonus items! 🤣

Yes. I understood that. I just haven't found it to be the case - in my own case that is.

How do you do that without breaking the antiquity? Some of them only have a health of 2 so I've always tried to avoid setting off fissures. Now I'm wondering if I've been missing something.

Are there particular tools you need for pathed explosions? Or passives. I've just started to try and figure this trick out.

You need to connect the fissures (two or more) with a path of the same height. It doesn't really matter at what height that path is, except the highest ones (the white-ish layers) probably won't work. Make sure the path doesn't touch the antiquity if you haven't unearthed it already. While hovering your mouse over one of the fissures, you get a faint blue-ish line indicating what will be blown up when you explode it, so you can check if you got the path you want.
Then you have to use the upper-right tool (in the screenshot above: the one with the key A) when fully charged to explode one of the fissures. You need the second rank of the Trowel skill to do this.

For me, those bonuses sometimes include indeko runes, so they're definitely not a waste of time.AnduinTryggva wrote: »To be honest I now converted to just wasting the remaining time after I have found the antiquity as I really think the bonus items are just low incentive to spend that time on them.
