30% to 10% damage reduction makes vamp useless in PVP. I think it was only used in PVP anyways.

    Vampire is about gone, but honestly, it was extremely unhealthy to have the entire skill line carried by Undeath.

    Now that it’s being nerfed, perhaps it’s time to revisit some of their useless active skills, like the cone stun they have which requires your opponent to be looking at you, or the self-harm skills.

    I think people only used them for ult gen builds. I kind of stopped playing mine after the mist form changes a long time ago. I will keep one, but play actively probably not.

    Tons of people will just switch to stage 1 instead of stage 3.

    Some will stay vamp because they like vamp. Lots will be stage 1 for what's on average a free Minor Protection, and the cool fast sneak. Some will be stage 2 for the damage buff out of stealth. The same few on stage 4 for the invis gimmick will still do that. What does stage 3 do now? Does it do anything at all?

    No, it isn't only used in PvP.

    Vampire is useful in sneak-thievery and will still be after the patch. The changes to UNDEATH shouldn't affect 'sneakery' at all.

    the changes are technically a buff for me, because i rarely ever let my vamps get above stage 1, so now they will be actually getting a benefit instead of nothing

    for me personally, i kind of hated how all the stages except the first one were on timers (i say "first one" because in vamp1.0 stage 4 had no timer and you fed to lower your stage, and vamp 2.0 stage 1 has no timer and you feed to gain stage)

    I'll keep stage 1. Without undeath the flame damage and the cost from stage 3/4 is just too much.

    Solo PvE DKs will continue to use Vamp for sure. Their infinite Magma Shell builds are not affected, if I'm correct.

    I never played vampire much, but emphasize character before meta, so have my vampire necro Dark Brotherhood assassin character. I had already given up trying to find a build that works in other content — vampire skills aren’t useful enough and the penalties to skill cost and health recovery made it a bad choice for tanking and this update won’t change that.

    I’m glad my non-vampire characters I like to PvP with will no longer be relatively penalized.

    Never used the Undeath passive for pvp so yes, I will. If anything it will be a buff for me since I loathe the ability cost increases.

    The invis running isnt worth jumping from stage 1 to stage 4, except maybe stage 2 for a NB or something.

    For most playstyles no, but it has its niche. Maybe they should move the invis run to 3 and add something much stronger to 4, like uh... I know they won't do it but vamp drain should have its stun restored.

    No. Vampire is already a struggle and broken at stage 4 in group pve content. I cant even imagine how it would be without the damage reduction buff.

    Vampire needs a serious overhaul because right now its just a passive buff class for other classes and cant be viable going full vampire. Compare that to werewolf where you have an entire bar of werewolf skills and are completely viable in multiple content settings.

    always ran vamps for the dark stalker perk in pvp and skipping trash mobs when soloing normal dungeons.

    don't know if i'll keep it or not, the fire damage downside has always been a *** in cyrodil. :/

    It's been years since I used vamp at all, and I'm one of those guys that has always played a vampire in the elder scrolls universe. The fact that I'm not using vampirism anymore says a lot about its state.

    Pretty much everyone in pve will use it. Free damage reduction with almost no drawbacks.

    Arguably it's more useful for ganking nightblades now. The cost increase wasn't really worth 30% damage reduction for a complete glass cannon and the speed boost has never been needed. But arterial burst is still a good tool for one-shotting people and they get a 10% damage mitigation basically for free now - again, not that it will matter when you have 18-20k hp *shrug*

    I've seen multiple people now say playing a vampire is going to be a "requirement" for endgame PvE. Really hoping this gets changed, not a fan of making all my characters vampires. Should've just kept it as stage 3 in its nerfed state or even moved it to stage 4.

    I don't see the point in nerfing Undeath, which has been in the game for YEARS.

    I didn't realize Vamp was used anywhere except PVP.

    Why should we have to rebuild our characters. I really counted on the stage 3 damage reduction and ulti. Just another reason to quit playing after 10 years. Have to look and see what you lose without sub except craft bag.

    Well there is no point in nerfing something that has been in game 8 or more years. IMPROVE other spells rather than NERF existing ones.

    I'm sick of the changes.
