[SUGGESTION] Why not apply incremental discounts on crown crates the more items you already have

I wonder if it would not feel fairer if the price for a crown crate package is reduced by an incremental amount of percentage depending on how much you already have unlocked from the collectible items within that crown crate.

For instance: If you already have 20% of all collection items you get a 10% discount, another 10% discount if you have 40% etc. These numbers are to illustrate what I mean.

because the gem extraction system already does this. if you got discounts it'd ruin the gem extraction portion of it, there's already discounts on buying larger amounts of crates at a time.

It would be great if the crown price per item would be lower in generall.
I mean we are talking about something that was created ONCE and can be infinetly replicated (since its a digital product not like a T-shirt ) ,often also just a reskin of something we could buy before as well.

But unfortunately those games are not created for our benefit. They are created to earn a profit, and since it works why would they consider changing it.

That's why they won't. Crown crates are loot boxes, they're not supposed to be fair, they're supposed to get players to spend as much as possible.

As @Kappachi said gems cover this in a round-about way - as you get more items unlocked more of the items from crates will be converted into gems (at 1/3 of their value) so if you've already opened a lot of crates from that set you'll get more gems and more quickly get to the point where you can buy whatever items you're hoping for, but it's very expensive especially if you want the rarer items.

Because I'm pretty sure they do not want to lose any profit at all from whales who buy and buy and buy until they get their latest precious shiny mount.

Also it would be complicated when it comes to gifting crates.
