The new houses... I hate it.

Briefly about the event house of five companions:
It is simply made from old vanilla architecture props, with textures that were already very outdated at the time of release in 2014. Maybe this is some kind of reference to the times before DLC, I don’t know. But this is already a strong reason not to want this house. Some say that this is simply the Temple of the One with added rooms. In the middle there is a table from Grathwood (!) that seems like there is no way to remove it.

And now the biggest pain is why I don’t like housing. Look at this:

My question is: why hasn’t this been implemented yet?
Why, instead of a cozy provincial Alinor house, we have some kind of chamber with two floors, which is connected by a hatch in the floor (not even a ladder). Yes, this house looks nice from the outside, but nothing more.

What do I want to say? Let's take Western Skyrim for example. Very nice and cozy new architecture with a Nordic theme. What kind of houses in this zone need to be sold? That's right - a huge wooden hangar with an inconvenient second floor, which cannot be adequately zoned. I’m already silent that this wooden hangar was meant as a museum. What needs to be implemented next? That's right - create some kind of Nordic ruins with cramped towers in a pink fog. Was it supposed to play on nostalgia and be similar to Sovngarde? No, it doesn't look like Sovngarde at all. What else? Oh yes, we need to create a snowy clearing with Dwemer ruins.

Summerset is the city's Alinor home. Okay, but we have been asking for a long time to change the texture of the first floor to a texture with a wooden covering, because the first floor now resembles a crypt. Next is a grotto with a ship. Well ok... But the ship is vanilla and I don’t want to use it because it’s outdated in terms of graphics. There is also a village house in the gardens in the Nocturnal plan, which inside uses the space of the Alinor tavern but has just been retextured. I love the Nocturnal plan, but the one we see in the DLC. There's also a terrible purple filter used here. That is, instead of making the house in the Nocturnal plan the way we saw it in the game, ZoS puts an Alinor house there and repaints the sky bright purple.

What would you understand - I use housing as part of roleplay. As something that complements my characters. Of course, I decorate my home adequately. But first of all, these must be adequate houses. Yes, I know that there are a huge number of players who build all their houses with crystals and lanterns. But it seems that this is precisely the main audience of housing for ZoS. For more modest players who value the setting, there seems to be almost nothing in terms of houses.

So far, the best area for housing at the moment is High Island and Galen. We have an ordinary city Breton house, a large island with a cozy lighthouse, and an entire Druid village. And of course, magnificent huge ships. The exception is the nedic underwater ruins, but ok, they generally look nice. I just want to convey the idea that High Island is completely open in terms of housing. Any topic from Breton life and Druids to navigation is presented.

I hope that I conveyed my thoughts correctly (I have problems with this to be honest). I just want to say that most of the houses that Zos makes are very strange and it is not clear for whom they are suitable, while adequate houses are simply not used as references.

the table in the companions house is removable as it is a furnishing, this was clarified in the update 43 preview livestream.

i like the new houses and other people i know also like them, you are the first I've seen say that they dislike them, so they are suitable for some players.

though i do also wish for the home in your pictures

I agree that we need some other long requested homes. However, I really liked the homes in the livestream.

I really loved the house of the five companions especially (though I plan on removing any trace of the companions themselves from the building) It will make an excellent place to display PVP furnishings.

A shame that the big curved table has the whole companion animation attached to it, I wish it didn't so that the chairs could be removed. Sadly I think the chairs are all one piece with the table, so I'll have to get rid of both.
    Legends never die
    They're written down in eternity
But you'll never see the price it costs
The scars collected all their lives
When everything's lost, they pick up their hearts and avenge defeat
Before it all starts, they suffer through harm just to touch a dream
    Oh, pick yourself up, 'cause

The Nocturnal house is a pain point for me. I had been requesting a simple plot with a small rustic house in the Evergloam for a long time. The maze consumes all of the outdoor real estate, and then there's this fancy little Alinor house plonked right in the middle on the other side. It's impossible to work with, lacks all the character of the Evergloam, and it has to be frustrating to the people that wanted an Alinor house in a nice little meadow or something.

I was not a fan of the High Isle / Galen houses and all the rough rocky druid stuff. To me, the best year for housing was Blackwood as there were several very different houses introduced, both in the zone and elsewhere, including two of my favorites, Sweetwater Cascades and the Varlaisvea Ayleid ruins.
