what's with the constant running and dodging...?

I've seen sometimes that my teammates, particularly NBs, spent all their time sprinting around in high speed, dodging through groups of enemies, and constantly switch targets. Every time I went to help them, they're gone in a blink instead of trying to finish what they started.

Checked their scores and they're not bad but not really good either, feel like they're mostly wasting their own time. What's the whole point of this playstyle aside from looking cool and be very annoying for teamwork?

    They're probably looking for soft targets. Or just baiting someone to pursue away from help.

    If you are built as full gank you don't have sustain and toughness for any sort of prolonged fight.

    Don't sprint and dodge cost a lot of stamina too?

    You would be surprised, but in 6-7 med (sprint speed passives) it is very affordable for the amount of pressure it alleviates.
    And if you can do 7 well-fitted's and gild them, you'll be surprised once again. The price goes down so considerably you basically get a normal price on roll 3.

    But then again I'm not a big fan of full gank gameplay.
    I mean I did play it and I played it a lot, but there are some things that don't click on fundamental level.
    Biggest thing that bugs me: you kill newbies. More experienced players build tougher & react faster.
    You can help to kill them if you align burst perfectly, but you get only so many chances before your resources (proc set CD & literally stam/mag) run dry and you have to disengage.

    It's not the kind of NB I play at this moment, I am notorious poison bowblade, fighter build that can sustain and survive to keep the pressure on, but I don't have 2 GCD kill comboes.
