Motion Capturing for Animations?

If you have played games with motion capturing recently, you will notice how terribly stiff the movement animations in ESO are. The characters look like they have a stick up their butt when they move. Is there any chance that the movement animations in the game will be revised in the future?

Opposite to what you say, in my opinion, TESO is the game where characters move super natural compared to other games.

Most other similar games, even games just released or to come soon, characters movement are horrible, like robots or unnatural for humans.

TESO is very natural in that way.

Walking, running/sprinting, jumping, blocking, roll dodging, side moves, mementos, music playing, dancing... all satisfies me completely.

    Lets hope not :)

I prefer ESO's animations to remain as they are. Frankly speaking, it's relieving to play a game that looks and feels styleized rather than falling in line with the cookie cutter ultra-realism everyone seems to think is so amazing these days.
    Legends never die
    They're written down in eternity
But you'll never see the price it costs
The scars collected all their lives
When everything's lost, they pick up their hearts and avenge defeat
Before it all starts, they suffer through harm just to touch a dream
    Oh, pick yourself up, 'cause
    Legends never die

I may just be old, and have come from a place/time where animations were pretty jank, but I feel like most of the animations are pretty good here. There are awkward things like how laying down is handled to name one off the top of my head.

What i would like to see more than animation tho, is a bard class/feature that lets me play the notes on the instrument instead of pre-canned stuff. or give me more control on what is played, and an expanded list. let my character sing some of the songs that are sung by NPC's in town maybe. wishful thinking maybe.

I don't see anything that needs changing personally.

    Not this again.

TESO -does- use motion capture for animations. Inverse kinematics is being used, which is how you map a rig to a series of mocap recordings, and you can verify this yourself. There is an option available that you can set where you can use IK to solve for foot placement, so the character's feet don't slide/float during movement (a consequence of mocap-driven movement), which would not be possible with any other kind of animation solve.

I like how our characters are moving, but NPCs, especially when we speak with them are terribles...

For a game that is likely looking to reduce development expenses and focus on revenue and profit to avoid the perils facing other studios, I would not expect any base improvements like this.
