Skill styles for pets

With more skill styles being added to the game with each recent update, I would love to see some options for pets! They add a lot to the personality of your character and would make for a great customization option.

Technically, we already have one in-game, the Slate-Grey Summoned Bear for Wardens, although this one is referred to as an 'ability skin' and predates the skill style system. Anyway, why stop at Warden?

Sorcerers strike me as a huge opportunity considering the different appearances of certain types of daedra that already exist as assets within the game: Take, for example, the green clannfear - Or hey, pull an Oblivion and let us get clannfear armor:

Another example, the more common fleshy colored scamp encountered as enemies, more reminiscent of conjured scamps in previous Elder Scrolls titles, and the Stonefire Scamp, a spikier variety known to inhabit Coldharbour:

Considering these are the same type of daedra and use the same animation rig, it feels like it would be a relatively practical feature to be able to implement into the game. But that being said, there's also the potential for our sorcerers to be able to summon one of the other many, many types of daedra in existence. What if we could replace our tiny little scamps with conjured dremora warriors? Or get rid of our annoying flappy winged twilights for cold-flame atronachs? (Obviously they still have to deal shock damage, so purely aesthetically, of course!)

Or what about a cosmetic override to replace all of a sorc's pets with dwarven automata? A spider to follow you around as your familiar, a dwarven sphere to replace your twilight/clannfear, and a dwaven centurion to call down in place of a storm atronach!

The Warden's Wild Guardian could be replaced with any number of large, fierce animals that would better suit our characters who don't live in areas bears tend to inhabit! Maybe dunmer wardens could get a kagouti, khajiit can be followed around by a trusty senche-tiger, or argonians could call upon the power of the mighty wamasu! Werewolf players I'm sure would love the opportunity to be followed around by a pet wolf to help fight. Maybe instead of summoning stat-restoring netches, colorful butterflies or torchbugs could help out.

Necromancer summons of course just use models for generic enemy undead, so it feels like it'd be straighforward to swap them out. Zombies or ghosts instead of skeletons? Draugr for a more nordic necro? Bog blights for the argonians? Mummies for those redguards who want to offend everybody in the entire Alik'r at once?

For the record I am not saying these styles should be race-based, only pointing out that they would help us immerse ourselves a little better into our characters. : )

What do you guys think? Would you buy/unlock these if they were made available for purchase or as ingame rewards? Any other ideas?

I wouldn't - I just don't care. My "immersion" is all in my internal mental roleplay. Which isn't really at all dependent on the game truthfully. I use the pets when necessary for combat, and otherwise they're not out.

If you don't care....... don't post on the thread for caring about it!!!!

I'd love a change to what sorcs summon but it would have to be more radical than this. I don't want any more mini dinosaurs.

People will be super happy with wamasus blocking their view in towns ;)

But seriously, I think it is a reasonable idea and also a nice selection OP made. Then, how probable is it that we would get this? Considering how crown store items currently look, I'd think that what we got as pet styles would probably also look... sparklier. Yes, let us call it "sparklier".

i think i would love skill styles for combat pets.
But thinking realistically that would be like the the Grey fur option for the Warden's Feral Guardian bear.

so far none of the skill styles in update 42 and the 6 we know are in update 43 are anything besides colour variation which is what we were told Skill Styles would be in January.

i would love more combat pets, but the Twilight and Feral Guardian turning into things like a Harpy and Wolf would require new skeletons for them along with new animations.
so it's less likely to happen.

However i can imagine getting a few combat pet grimoires either for classes that already have skill lines for them or added to other skill lines like Undaunted, Fighters Guild, or Mages Guild.
