Alright now that I’ve relearned what healing classes are really good again, what should I pick?

I’ve decided to put these four classes down in the poll as you guys told me they were good at healing which i appreciate the help and advice. Now it’s time to choose, what would you recommend that I pick for my Argonian?

Go with what you enjoy, but to me, NB or Warden feel thematically fitting for an Argonian and they are generally best trial healers.

Templar is a still a solid class for healer. I wouldn’t go with sorc, they offer little in the way of healing utility, would be relying on non-class skills and/or the Twilight Matriarch. In PvE, I think sorcs are sometimes used as healers for additional Atronach ultimates (so would bring nothing if you wanted to go no pets/summons). Arcanist would be a better healer with their buffs and shields, but the theme and visuals may not be to your taste or character theme.

    Warden
I would go with a Warden. They have unique class buffs that will always be desired regardless of whether you are healing in PVE or PVP. There is a bit of a learning curve with a Warden though because many of their heals are directional, so you really need to be on point with your positioning, whereas a templar healer has some skills that will bail you out even when you are out of position.

That being said, I think you have left out a Necro healer in your list. Necro's aren't great in terms of healing output, since they rely on the presence of corpses to increase their healing output, but when paired with a templar or a warden, they make excellent support healers. A necro running Saxhleel's champion will give the group both the warhorn buff AND major vulnerability by using their colossus ult, and they have abilities that will help them gain back their ult quickly. Of course, a necro tank could also run Saxhleels, and necros are probably best suited for being a tank, so there is also that to consider.

Good points! Scribing may now provide a decent burst heal if desired, certainly what I miss playing warden after maining Templar for a long time, but definitely a strong class as you say, and I recently made an Argonian Warden healer myself and really enjoy playing them in both dungeons and battlegrounds. :)

I don’t know how I forgot necro! Yes, they would be another solid choice, better than sorc as a healer, though sorc might be used now (again for the atro buff rather than healing, at least in PvE) while now there are many sources of vulnerability (and OT is usually necro as you point out).

I prefer templars as healers, they're also good DPS.

Wardens are strong, versatile healers, and I think their plant-based healing spells are very fitting for an Argonian.

That said, I've made healers from all classes except Sorcerer, and only the Dragonknight turned out not-so-great for group content. So I’d just choose whatever class most appeals to you, thematically and/or visually.

I agree with the previous posters, Necromancers are worth considering too (as are Arcanists, i.m.o.). My personal favorite healer to play is my Dark Elf Necromancer (wearing Winters Respite for some extra aoe healing).

I was curious to take a look as I’d like some additional builds for my templars. Why solar barrage if you’re using Oakensoul — Empower doesn’t stack 🤔

    Warden or Nightblade.

    Warden brings Minor Toughness.
Nightblade brings Minor Savagery. It might conflict with the Minor Prophecy from a sorcerer, but I do not think you can reliably expect to get a sorcerer in endgame groups.
The Minor Sorcery that a Templar would bring conflicts with the Minor Brutality from the DK you are likely to have in the group.

Depends a bit on content, but Sorc healer in open world PvP are doing well due to mobility and recent change to kit.

If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.

I suppose because it still gives you 5% extra damage with class abilities. And if you have the Prism and Illuminate passives, you generate extra ultimate, and get minor sorcery for you and your group.
