My mastercrafter and home decorator collects all furniture recipes he can lay hands on. It is an addiction almost. Because: You never know, you might want that specific item to be in your new home and it is so much more satisfying to be able to craft them all rather than buy them on some guild store for quite some gold.
Now we have about seven crafting stations. This makes of course sence because copperware is likely not done on a carpenter table. Fine.
My point is: With my growing knowledge of furniture recipes of all sorts it gets much much more difficult to find that specific idem that I want to craft.
As sometimes it is really hard to tell at which table it shall be crafted (much is obvious like wooden tables but some are much less obvious) I have to proceed as follows:
I have to go to one crafting station after another and search through the recipes until I find it. There are the categories that help - a LITTLE but really only a LITTLE.
Sometimes I know exactly that I want to craft a certain lamp from one region but I cannot remember the exact name of the recipe nor is it really clear in which category it falls. As the recipes within a category are sorted by name in alphabetical order it makes it really difficult to search for a specific item.
I know there are addons that allow to use a search field which is useful if one knows at least some portions of the recipe name exactly.
Nevertheless it is really clunky to use.
What really could help is if we had a search interface with which we could search through our known recipes. Where you could search for item category (chair, table, food, fireplace, lamp, bed), per use category (kitchen, crafting, illumination,...), zone/culture (Argonian, imperial, bosmer,...), maybe even DLC...
Ideally it would be a global interface that let us search for a recipe and when found indicates where it can be crafted.
If not integrated directly into the crafting interface.
