switch NB DPS to Healer for current update. Is it a good idea or should I just go to a new class?

I’ve seen the updates for Nightblade and believe I would be better off becoming a NB healer for this current update. Is it a good idea or should I just start over using a different class? Any Nightblade players have any advice? Should I become a healer or delete the character?

NB is good as tank, as healer (scribing) and as dd.

NB healer is a solid option, it should work really well. DPS also works even if they aren't considered top tier atm. I've done the new trial, Lucent Citadel, on vet with my stamblade and pulled my weight in it, same with vet DLC dungeons including a few HMs.

Never delete a character that is well levelled unless you have multiple of the class. The class balance shifts over time so classes that are considered bad now might be considered great in a year or two, or the opposite. You have a bunch of character slots, use them.

Nightblade healers are unbelievably GOATed with the sauce. For PVE at least you are right that nightblade will be a more optimized fit as a healer than damage dealer.

I enjoy my dps NB, she is my main and does fine but I do not do end game content with her. I have other classes for that.

I also do not believe that saying switch to healer or tank is a valid response to dps problems. Each class should be viable in any role. Yeah they can still do that but probably bottom of the barrel right now.
