Lucent Citadel Veteran: Cannot take light lift and now cannot join group

I was in a veteran group for the Lucent Citadel. While the trial is really awesome and I actually like that part where one travels as a light I had SEVERE problems to use it this time.
My stamina drained faster than I could reach the nearest blue bubble.
Consequence: I fell down constantly from plattform 2 or 3 and died. While my group mates did all the fighting without me.
And no I did not pick up the red bubbles.
And yes I had buff food increasing my stamina.
EDIT: I tried to travel from platform to platform. Before last platform it worked. For last platform without taking blue bubble impossible. Started from one platform below final platform with exit, captured nearest blue bubble and since last platform was too far away tried to reach nearest blue bubble between my position and last platform but stamina was empty before I could reach this platform and then I fell.
EDIT2: I tried several different approaches and I ALWAYS fell down shortly before I could reach the final platform.
