What does that mean, as it is used in a daily endeavor description?

It means one of the standard skills that can be recolored with a style, and that the style has to be on the skill for it to count. For example, vigor can be styled, but you only get credit for this if you have the blue color on when you cast vigor.

if it isn't currently active on vigor it doesn't count for the endeavour of course

It's not the morph (which is green btw) but the optional color you need to unlock and apply in the skill menu first.

Completed this endeavour by using the blue vigor skill style five times. Make sure you have it unlocked and have it applied.

To apply a skill style, click on the colored icon left of the skill itself in the skillscreen. It will open a small window showing you what colors(or none) you can apply. Click on the one you want once, to apply.

The skillstyles have to be unlocked by doing the achievements that grant the skillstyles. So this is something you have to do first. If you check the gold road achievements, it shows a list of all available skillstyles and which ones you already have. You can use any skill with any skillstyle applied to it to complete this endeavour.
