Or do the event quest every day and get the weekly endeavor just doing what you would have done anyway.

I did my master writs to get boxes and that pretty much took care of the upgrade endeavor.

Not only upgrade items to green, steal them first and decon them last.

1 gold master writ = 4 upgrades
1 purple master writ = 3 upgrades

only counts armor/weapons/jewelry master writs though, because you cant upgrade alchemy/enchanting/provisioning items
