Kinda like them all tbh. Enjoyed them all for just long enough to get what I wanted from each, which for me is good game design.

Oblivion Portals

Oblivion portals were just such a fail imo. I mean I commend them for trying something different, but it's like the portals were trying to be a bit of everything at once... "random" but actually linear and quite repetitive; an "event" but actually more of a persistent public dungeon; and then the fact that it was difficult to meet up with others because of the multiple / rng nature of the entry portals and the fact that they don't show up on the map...

...the typical result being that you would either go in, find yourself alone, and solo the place till reaching the boss; or find that someone just ahead of you had already killed everything and just play jogging-sim till reaching the boss. Then stand around doing nothing waiting for the boss to spawn. And the boss fight is one of the worst in the game. The entire experience is so uninteresting.

EDIT: Just wanted to add that I considered choosing Nymics; they were pretty bad as a "world event" in a lot of ways, particularly in that they eliminated the "ad-hoc, show up and see who's there" type of grouping that was typical of most other world events... were out of reach for certain types of players who had previously enjoyed world events... and had awful rewards for the level of difficulty / time investment. But I did personally enjoy soloing them for the extra challenge, so for me they ended up just a notch above the oblivion portals.

Nymics and it's not even close. I have MAYBE 2-4 characters across both servers who can solo them. They're more like a daily DLC dungeon and way too time consuming and not fun, it's torture there are achievements and leads tied to them. I still don't have even half the amount required for the achievement. The fun part of world events and incursions is being able to fight stuff with random fellow players then go your separate ways. If I wanted to do something like that I'd do DLC pledges! Just wanna pew pew kill stuff

Harrowstorms would be #2 when randoms don't know to kill ghosts and you end up with 8 adds

Until last year I would have said Geysers, as it always seems to take forever for them to start again, but since Necrom: definitively Bastion Nymic. A world event had always been designed that you didn't need to group for it but could do it with random people who just passed by. If I'd wanted to group with someone, I'd do dungeons.

From least to most annoying:

• Mirrormoor Incursions: No idea yet
• Abyssal Geysers/Dark Anchors/Volcanic Vents: Not annoying.
• Harrowstorms: Annoying almost completely due to shrikes.
• Bastion Nymic: Annoying because it's so difficult to go through it without a formal Group, but during the last ESO+ trial, I didn't actually find it that difficult to join and stay in groups. Easier than trials and DLC dungeons.
• Dragons: Annoying because a lot of the time, there either too few players to help or so many that you have to race or wait around the zone and when you get there, you get a 40 second loading screen until the fight ends. They also have annoying knock back mechanics*.
• Oblivion Portals: Annoying, because it's so repetitive. We barely even get special equipment and cosmetics for the bother. So far, I've found the Kindred's Concord drop rate more generous than that of Annihilarch's Chosen, so I just bought the latter with seals.

*but that's far worse in the Infinite Archive, where we get knocked out of the ring. And that's especially annoying in ESO, becuase we can't knock anything off cliffs.

Harrowstorms are boring [snip] but Nimic is simply a Trial disguised as fake World Event.ZOS lack of interest of solo players is so strong that even features supposedly to facilitate occasional small groups or solo players are rarely solo-friendly.

It is so sad that ZOS never care to officially launch a round of votes about some ESO's features, never really ASK US if something is good or about our opinion.

Never directly create any system of inquiry about our position. They just throw us those forums that favor unleashed rants, blind/naive support, random criticism or complains. [snip]

Real communication will do wonders to ESO. But...

Not going to waste 20 mins for two greens and a blue. Did the 30x Daily, the rest of the Achievements and got the Leads and whatever else was in there and never went back. Kindred Concord was kinda expensive but not worth going back there lol.

Voted Bastion Nymic because, well you really have to go out of your way to do it.

I'd almost vote for Oblivion Portals, but can they really be called a world event? It's really just a public dungeon whith a varying location for the entrance.

I voted Portals simply because I don't know where they are at any time, and having to look it up if it's not in the one spot I have memorized gets old.

My second is Nymic because it's basically a dungeon with extra steps. If I wanted to do a dungeon, I'd queue up a pledge.

I prefer overland challenge the way they did Dragons and Harrowstorms. Those are still fun.

Dark Anchors - Oblivion Portals - Abyssal Geysers - Volcanic Vents - Dragons - Mirrormoor Mosaics - Harrowstorms - Bastion Nymic.

I had to vote harrowstorm because other players don’t understand the mechanics and drag the thing out until it gets messy.

I would actually like running Bastion Nymic more but too hard to group.

Harrowstorms are irritating, but Bastion Nymic is tied with Harrowstorms for the level of annoyance they cause.

But to be honest, after the Anniversary grind for those style pages, I'm pretty sure I never want to see half of them again >_>

I swear to the divines, if I see one more dark anchor....lets just say defeating Molag Bal in the story quests is now -personal- =_=

I enjoy Mirrormoor Mosaics because they haven't lost their newness and appeal XD

Never step foot in a Bastion Nymic, can't bother to do so, just watched videos about them and it was enough.

I can solo past Events and I enjoy them all very much, one of my favourite activities!
I like Mosaics a lot, but I've yet to discover if they are soloable and where they are positioned as difficulty compared to the others.
Can anyone enlighten me on this, please, since I always find lots of people running them?

Bastion Nymic for me, no doubts.

i play most of the game solo. Soloing Bastion Nymic from accepting the daily quest till turning it in takes me 30+ minutes.
the fastest character for that for me is a stamplar (Deadly+Hexos+RoPO), but, hey: spending half an hour for quite the humble rewards?

TL\DR; Bastion Nymic is way too time consuming.

Oblivion portals were my favorite. All I had to do was find 1 portal and then park my character at the last boss. It had a 5 minute respawn timer and after 1-2 hours of farming, I had all gear and mythic leads that I needed. Then I was done

Well, they said even content supposed to be solo friendly rarely is, which made me think they don't find challenge in most of overland. Since that is obviously solo friendly and most of the game.

I think the worst part about Oblivion Portals is the final boss. even with a moderately sized group, he ends up spending most of the time invulnerable. this one really needs a redesign. it's so boring.
