You have to fulfill one of the conditions of the quest: dig up a treasure map or an antiquity. Purchase from a guild store. Earn a level or champion point

this. Easiest one is to buy from a guild store that's right near the quest giver in craglorn. or run a quick random dungeon daily if you're close to your next CP point.
10k gold, quest says it.VouxeTheMinotaur wrote: »You have to fulfill one of the conditions of the quest: dig up a treasure map or an antiquity. Purchase from a guild store. Earn a level or champion point

Is there a lower limit on how much spent? I grabbed something not too expensive on my baby account EU this morning instead of taking the time to go somewhere to dig up a treasure map, and it didn't complete the quest. So I had to go do the treasure map anyway....

Sorry, I wasn't clear. It's not in the dialogue, but it's in the tooltip once you have the quest.PeacefulAnarchy wrote: »10k gold, quest says it.VouxeTheMinotaur wrote: »You have to fulfill one of the conditions of the quest: dig up a treasure map or an antiquity. Huh. I read the whole quest stuff a couple of times and didn't see any mention of how much. This is the only time I've ever tried that - now I know that, I won't ever spend that much finishing a silly quest....

Are you perchance using a mod for that?PeacefulAnarchy wrote: »Sorry, I wasn't clear. It's not in the dialogue, but it's in the tooltip once you have the quest.
No, I specifically turned off addons to make sure I wasn't mistaken. Are you perchance using a mod for that?PeacefulAnarchy wrote: »Sorry, I wasn't clear. It's not in the dialogue, but it's in the tooltip once you have the quest.
Couldn't get that hint in vanilla, the only place it shows up for me is one of the addon popup.
This should definitely be part of the description in the quest journal!
(I myself was lucky, the thing I wanted was over 10k. But it seems like getting a couple of lower cost items works, too, as long as they add up to 10k during one day?)

It may be a game setting to enable that, though.

I haven't checked my settings, but it shows up for me and I use no addons whatsoever. Nearly all of my settings are set to the default values.
