Why can't we launder Event Boxes?

We can launder Research Folios from Azandar's Perk. So why not the Zenithar Parcels?

It's wreaking havonc on a character's daily laundering quota since you have to launder everything in the bag, which often have stackables that really rack up the count.

Azandar's folios only contain a couple of individual things. Zenithar parcels have about a half-dozen things and some are multiples. Same thing with Stolen Shipments from Thieves Troves (one stack of 10 things). You don't actually need to launder the pouch if there's one in there since it's going to be gold or Tel Var, which can't be laundered anyway (like Ember's wallets).
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

The pouches can have a dozen or more in them with crafting mats and style materials in addition to the other single items. I opened 6 boxes in one go, and it killed more than half of my max'd allotment.

Event boxes are character bound. Not sure there is a point to laundering them, as you can never bank or sell them.

The point is that there's a 140 item per day laundering limit with max passives, and some of these parcels have 10-20 items in each one.

You cannot bank event boxes. You cannot bank them, trade them or sell them. They are character bound. Even if you could launder them (the whole point of which is so that you can then bank them, trade them or sell them) what would be the point lol?

If you want to go ahead and open them... then perhaps you can launder what is inside of them?

I don't think the OP mentioned anything about banking the boxes. I believe they simply wanted to launder the entire container and it's contents once, rather than opening it and laundering 10-20 items, which will quickly put you at your laundering limit for the day. Other containers, such as Azandar's portfolios, can be laundered. OP is asking for a similar functionality with the Zenithar parcels.

Yes, they can. But laundering all of the stuff in however many event boxes the thiefly sorts wind up with during this event seriously limits their ability to launder more important things - that they might want to sell through guild traders. It's not really about banking, trading or selling the event boxes; it's about "if I have 10 event boxes that are stolen, it would be nice if I could launder the boxes and all the items inside would therefore be laundered as well".

I don't steal and launder stuff, but I have a friend who does!

[Honestly though? I didn't really know until Shadow told me that you COULD steal event boxes.... Learn something new every day.....]

Exactly this. I opened one container just a few mins ago (stopped pickpocket for them) that had 32 items in it. Thank the Daedra that they weren't stolen. That'd be a massive hit.

Sorry if I miscommunicated here, but it's the money pouches (Zenithar's Bounty) which have coins and do not need to be laundered.

why did we have to craft the baked apples, when I have them in my bank?
why did I have to harvest wood, when I have some in the bank?
why do the legerdeman activities not include regular treasure chests?

Coupled with my experience on previous issues like this, it's abundantly clear that whatever fun may be obtained by these events, they are always offset by some minor penance.

    There's always a catch.
