Why offer us a house but make acquisition of fitting furniture blueprints so inaccessible?

We can acquire the west weald home either per crown or gold and I applaud for that decision.

What however strongly tarnishes this joy is that the furniture blueprints that would go so well with that new house are so hard to obtain as the drop rate is insanely low. I farm now for four days but only got in total 6 or 7 blueprints, 2 of them from the world events even that are daedric. Only blue and 2 green quality. Zero purple.

As suggested somewhere in the thread mentioned above (at least I think it's there) farm on multiple toons. Once you get a green and and a blue recipe switch to the next toon. If you see white recipes show up that means you are still on a cooldown.

I tell you my observation from farming outcast inn since I started farming for furniture plans.

But before I do that I tell you my experience from farming furniture during High Isle and Necrom DLC:

In the top farming location it went like this:
I went in, farmed all lootable containers in that location, went out of the door, then back in and run again my loop.
Eventually a green blueprint for the zone (druid, high isle, necrom) would drop, maybe a second after a while. After a few greens I would get a blue one. In very rare situations a purple. After having found a couple of green or blue and rarely a purple one I would get a phase when only whites would drop. After that white phase it would go as before with severel greens, a few blue ones, and with real big luck a purple one.

In Outcast Inn it is like this:
I go in, do my round, go out and then back in.
In most cases I get trash equipment and lockpicks. If I am lucky, I get a green receipt or a green base game blueprint, sometimes I get a blue receipt before I get into the white blueprint phase. If I am lucky. In most cases it goes like this:
I get trash, then get the white phase, get more trash, before getting white phase again. Only very very rarely do I get a blue or sometimes a green plan for the zone. Once a day with some luck. I am not even trying to get purple ones. I am already happy with blue or green.

For me it looks like the loot tables are broken so that the common scheme of drop phase alternating with white plan phase no longer works and I mostly go straight from one white plan phase into another white plan phase.

For me the white phase only happens after a green(s) and a blue drops. Once I get them, I switch to the next toon. Once I'm done with the cycle of toons, I go and do some other stuff (dailies in the zone or whatever else I fancy) to sit out the cooldown. Then, I return and do another cycle of toons later.
It seems that some blue plans are more common than others. For example, I got multiple copies of the Keg, the beds, and various Dawnwood lanterns. On the other hand, some blue that I would like to get refuse to show up even once.

Yes, see comment just above. Swap characters as soon as you get first drops.
Getting a ton of trash is expected, as well as base game plans.

Thanks for advice. Will try that.

Nevertheless I have to observe that to swap characters was never necessary for High Isle or Necrom. Plans kept dropping on same character and this much much more often than for Gold Road.

Nine containers (Nine!) that won't even respawn unless you loot the trash (unnecessary in previous farming locations) is a design issue.

I have spent waaay too long in the Outcast Inn, I could supply a small army of thieves with lockpicks!!

I have dropped 9 new purples, more greens but way less blues.

I have also had Homemaker proc on purples many times BUT always ancient and pretty worthless plans, except one when it gave me two very nice Redguard ones.

When being too lazy to swap character even though I am seeing white plans, likely due to multiple green and blue drops, I have gone on to drop a new purple.

My experience has definitely been if I want new plans then I need to spend considerable time looking for them, fast drops tend to be rubbish but that is what's happening for me not necessarily everyone else!

Yeah. Just sleep on the floor, on one of those straw piles they sell from home furnishers.

Thinking in pragmatic MMO design terms, isn't the answer self-evident in the question? :)

Why do so many houses have doorways that don’t have doors to fit?

I agree. I am looking forward to getting the house with gold but I don’t even know what rare style mat will be required (and how hard it will be to obtain) and I got so burned out by the grind to get furnishing plans last chapter. If they are as rare this chapter, I will not be able to find many or afford to be able to buy many of them from guild traders.

That severely dampens my enthusiasm for decorating.

Colovian and Dawnwood use Nickel and Bone as their style materials so not rare

I haven't gotten a single new style furnishing plan yet after playing through the zone on 2 characters so far. Usually by now I have found enough to craft some things for the new zone house, but mine are still sitting empty. Where are all these hiding?

Oh that’s nice! Not what I was expecting. Maybe I can do some decorating at least.
