I have used artix linux for a while to play eso on linux with steam. I got this account with epic and tried to install lutris and then use epic games store with lutris to play eso. That worked for a while until it didnt' I woke up one day and found eso no longer launched from epic on linux through lutris. I created a new install on new partiutions with abnother instance of linux i tried lutris from the aur and lutris from flatpak. Epic games store installs and fallout 3 would install and play fine but eso would not. Then i triedto use another version on linux but debian based that uses sysvinit. Could not get epic through lutris from repo or flatpak to run eso. Next up was chimera linux (not chimeraOS associated with steramdeck lookallike) and only flatpak was available. lutris installs fine and epic installs fine but again after installing the files for the launcher eso refuse to run. The one thing all these OS's have in common is that they doi not use systemd.

Now i'm looking fior help and i did go to the forums from lutris and was ignored. Todaty i notice that on windows the launch command has a different app number that the one lutris uses that is listed in the areguments for launching eso

from the window icon i see the windows command is
com.epicgames.launcher://apps/27aa2ebdcda14b3bb8a669aab73ca55f%3Ab9e3c7e855044cbb82c82ea939241db7%3A4d0ff75b922447649057c237c0bd1545?action=launch&silent=true

but on lutris the argument is
com.epicgames.launcher://apps/4d0ff75b922447649057c237c0bd1545?action=launch

which are very different numbers. it tried to edit the lutis command with the windows arguments for the app number but it still doesnt launch

looking at lutris -d which i wont post but had me and an expoerienced other look at it and they declared theres nothing showing an error.in the terminal output.

please advise if you can
