(Clockwork City) Precursor Construct museum piece - no hint for last piece.

Is this intentional? I have all the pieces except for the second last piece (Integral of Reason) and I have no way to advance anymore. I can't interact with the head to get the next clue.

Is this a bug or is this intentional?

If not a bug are they expecting me to just randomly scour literally all of Clockwork City inch by inch until I *happen* to stumble across the last piece somewhere?

I had to look up an online cheat guide, which I really hate doing. Please fix this, and/or pay more attention and test your stuff more rigorously going forward. Highly frustrating to progress all the way to the last stage of an activity like this only to have it bug out or otherwise leave you hanging like this.

After multiple attempts at logging out and back in, leaving the zone, disabling addons and exiting the entire game and back in again, I was finally able to interact with the head once again.

So now I have to go "inside metal jaws in a wasteland of rubbish". The head tells me he's "sure there's an analogy in there somewhere."

Isn't this entire DLC zone in some respects a wasteland of rubbish? This is no way narrows it down to anything.

Ugh. I both love and HATE these museum treasure hunts at the same time. I mean I know where it is because I looked it up while everything was bugged... But I can't imagine I could have surmised anything from that very general, very random clue.

    /sigh

based on the sound of it, the one your looking for is the one that is through a door locked behind the zone quest progression

i believe the item your looking for the is the "construct's integral of reason" which is in (to only give a hint) the machine district, which you access through a door in the clockwork city

this does require completion of the clockwork city questline at least through the "lost in the gloam" quest

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

Yeah, maybe I'm just really, really stupid, I dunno.

But even reading an online guide telling me step by step exactly where to go, I still kind of struggled. Happily I had already completed the necessary quest, because it seems that it's even more complicated if you don't have access to that place... Which by the way, they don't tell you.

Such frustrating design. I can't imagine how even more annoyed I would have been had I tried doing this before finishing Clockwork City.

It's a real shame too, because up to this point the clues were quite decent. Nothing too obvious, but at least ballpark obvious. (i.e., the head will mention Riften, so you know a piece will be in a dwarven ruin in the Rift.) But without having done the main quest yet, or in my case having gone a long time not having visited the City, how can I possibly imagine what he is talking about. Way too vague.

Now instead of being satisfied I leave with a sour taste in my mouth...

Sorry about the whiner post, but every once in a while I have to make these to get it off my chest. I'm so annoyed right now.

i agree about the part with the quest requirement lol, at least when im trying to get more precursors by doing this with alt characters

i think they were assuming someone who was going through doing the museum collection had already finished the quests and this was the "extra" part of the adventure

i would also agree that some of the "lore hints" in this game are far too vague to really make use of (theres been a few other spots in the game i felt about the same with the lore hint, and not understanding what the intention was)
