Hi, I want to ask, in scribing, is there an option to choose the affix "Cowardice" which reduces weapon and spell damage by some value.
Does this have any effect on npc enemies, or is this affix only useful in pvp vs other players?
So it's something like "damage reduction", am I getting that right?
Yeah, it lowers the amount of damage the npcs do. Not sure how much weapon/spell damage npcs have but I know the weakening enchantment is used in PvE a lot and does the same thing (reduces weapon/spell damage).

Weakening plus maj/min cowardice is 993 wd/sd less for Bosses, I think. Thats a 2H weapon without Infused.
Depending on the Boss that might be enough to reduce Boss damage to ridiculously low levels.
That's a major strategy in Infinite Archive, btw.

If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...
Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.
I was curious and looked into this. Hyperioxes's video details the specifics, with a spreadsheet as well. In short, on some very powerful enemies these debuffs can take a lot of the edge off of a lot of enemies, and weaker enemies can be completely nullified. As Zodiarkslayer mentioned, in the Infinite Archive, you can amplify your enchantments to insane power levels, allowing the weakening enchantment to disable some enemies from being able to deal damage.
