The main gold road questline - final results

I posted a while back about being unable to get the Relic Restorer and Truth Reflector achievements, with the quests just not appearing on two characters attempting that line.

Took a different character. Both Gold Road and Necrom prologues were completed on that character. The Necrom storyline was then done and finally, the Gold Road questline continued... only on that character. The main line is now completed, after many unnecessary hours.

Now, this has been highlighter on this forum and on reddit. It appears that if you did the previous expansion and prologues on different character, you could not progress in the gold road quest line to complete the last two achievement.

What happened to AwA? None of these were character flagged. They show as being able to be done on ANY character to get the achievement points, yet they obviously are not AWA.

You ARE required to complete 2 prologues and the necrom main quest line on ONE character in order to complete the gold road questline.

Why has this not been fixed? This is not a side quest, or a low drop rate. this is THE MAIN QUESTLINE.

Why are we required to even do these prior to completing this? How was it not tested using different character, and why was this not a priority fix for the new expansion.

Having to go back and redo that content is an unacceptable grind,, with no warning that this may have even been required. Is this going to be addressed soon, or is it going to be one of these 'features' that we will be seeing several years from now?

This should have been an urgent fix. It is no wonder people are wanting refunds for the expansion when you combine that with the other issues plaguing this release.

Quests have never been account wide, only achievementts. You always had to do both zone stories on the same character for the epilogue quests of the linked stories to appear (both parts of Elsweyr, Western Skyrim & The Reach, Blackwood & The Deadlands, High Isle & Galen).

I have never had to do them on the same character before, for any of the expansions. I have done them on different characters as classes get buffed or nerfed.

I have gone from stamblade to templar, warden and now arcanist. Whatever character I am playing at that time, is the character I do the storyline on. This has never been an issue before to the best of my memory, and I am a beta player.

The flagging for the completion of GR quesline should be based off achievements, not who did them. Unless you can give me an example of when this was an issue before, requiring you to go back and complete a previous chapter on a different character.

I already listed all the zones where this was the case.

Yeah, but they were not, as I said. I never did the quests on the same character for those, and never had any issue.

So, whilst you listed the zones, they never actually caused any issue with different characters doing quests over different chapters.

How could it have been the case if some of them were before AWA was introduced?

They have been necessary since Southern Elsweyr, so it means all the "capper"/epilogue quests for:
    • Elsweyr
    • Skyrim
    • Blackwood/Deadlands
    • High Isle/Galen
    • Necrom/West Weald

Have been based on character quest completion, not achievements.

The same way that returning characters (like Mizzik or Za'ji) recognize your character only if that character (not another on your account) has done their earlier quests.
